That's an easy one.
Keep your mouth shut and call your lawyer if you are arrested. If you are not arrested just leave.

What if you don't have a lawyer?

Also, if what is the procedure? Do they take you to the police station? After they ID you, do they let you go on the agreement that you will appear in court or do you stay in jail until someone picks you up?

One of my friend got caught in a raid 3-4 year ago and they dropped the charge after a bit.... they mostly want scare people in such case. Dont talk to LE at all... and take the night to find the perfect excuse to give to your wife about why you disapear for the night or for the week-end (in case you get caught on friday )... Heard in some case they let you go the same day but my friend pass a night at police station.

Do NOT call your lawyer in the middle of the night

I feel that I must intervene in this debate, because I keep reading erroneous information about calling lawyers. What’s the point about calling a lawyer in the middle of the night? Guess what he will answer you? To shut your mouth and wait for the cops to set you free.

He is probably banging an escort too when you call. In the worst case, your lawyer is about to cum when the phone rings.

Always keep in mind that your lawyer can afford more expensive escorts than you. Therefore, you certainly do not evaluate the magnitude of the financial damage and consequences for his self-esteem if he is not able to cum twice because of you.

All information that LE is legally entitled to ask is written on your driving license and Heath Insurance card. Show both to avoid any conversation.

They ask because the Crown will have to drop the case if they did not follow the legal procedure.

Quite the contrary in fact. If the cops feel that you are panicked and believe that they will be able to get any info from you, they will keep you longer.
If you display that you have all your time and they estimate that they are talking to a wall, they release you faster because you are just taking some room in the police station for nothing.

BTW, everything written here only applies when you obviously are not threatening to anyone (solicitation, bawdy house), not if you are drunk, or drugged, or aggressive, or were found with a weapon.

My personal experience

Going back about 12 years ago, I was in a massage parlor in Laval. In the car

About five years ago, I was in the action of getting a BJ in my car in a parking lot at night in downtown Mtl. A cop knock at the glass. He tell to the girl to go in his car and to me to dress. In a car, at night, in the middle of nowhere, where peoples have to do something odd to see you, the definition of indecency can be stretched. If the girl keep quiet about money, you can say you just met and fell attracted so you decided to have a bit of fun in the car. In that case, the cop might not be able to get you for sollicitation. You might get indecency if the cop convince the judge you were easily accessible. On a street, in a residential area, you definetly get at least indecency.

Funny thing is, if you get so much action your windows are all foggy and nobody can see inside the car, you're in a private setting and the cop can't do anything except ask you to move away. He can't presume of what nobody can see. Unless he saw you pick-up the girl and it was visible she was "at work". This might get more complicated.

Thanks. The procedure sounds almost similar to a police raid that I was in when I was about 14. No, it wasn't because I was found in a bawdy house. It was because I was found in an arcade and back then Montreal did not allow people under 18 to be in arcades except for certain areas (like La Ronde). I also have a similar story when I was 18
