Thread: Canada's Wonders

    Canada's Wonders

The CBC is doing a poll on Canada's wonders and looking threw the list of 50 nominees, that the Montreal Bagel is the only nominee from Montreal. So let's stick it to the rest of Canada(espically toronto) and show the CBC that Montreal is the greatest city in Canada by voting for the Montreal bagel. I'm tired of getting treated like an outsider from the CBC, it's a national channel but Montreal never get's any airtime.

So vote for the Montreal bagel

P.S Tell everybody you know to go vote and make them spread the word too.

Just went and voted for the bagel. We're really hurting for votes so let's get going! Vote soon and vote often! There doesn't seem to be a limit on how many times you can vote so lets just pack 'em in there!

Can we vote for Tamarra of XXXTASE? Oh wait, is she Canadian?

If it has to be inanimate, then I would vote for her implants.

Seriously though, bagels are a pretty lame entry given all Montreal has.

Let's vote Cafe Cleopatra! It's an institution in Montreal! (I'm talking upstairs... )

Well it beats the hell out of the Olympic Stadium. Besides...it's the only Montreal item on the list! The true wonders of Canada are the women of Montreal but they weren't nominated.

A bagel.... the world has Victoria Falls, Taj Mahal, ancient pyramids... and we get bagels... I can see thousands of years from now advanced civilizations finding discoveries of petrified Montreal Bagels and rejoicing...How fucking ridiculous.

That's my point exactly, the CBC treats us montrealers like crap. Our tax dollars pay there salaries and probably right now mangement at the CBC (head office in toronto) are having a laugh that montreal is only represented by the bagel.

So let's have the last laugh and make it one of Canada;s wonders!

    GO VOTE!

The website is so busy it won't let you vote. I see the Vegreville Egg of Alberta is giving the bagel a run for its money.

OK, I just voted for the bagel however I agree with Techman, the women of Montreal deserved the nomination. Anyone that has walked down St. Catherine Street on a summer day can attest to that.

Sounds like the Montreal bagel is doing well in voting. I guess the lobbying has paid off.
Final results I think in upcoming week.

They will forget what you said,
they will forget what you did,
but they will never forget the way you made them feel.

Reminds me of a scaffolding company located near the Sleeping Giant (where companies are called 'Sleeping Giant Sheet Metal', 'Sleeping Giant Drywall') who had the memorable name of "Sleeping Giant Erections".

Overall a pretty cool contest. I would have thought Perce Rock would be on the final list. Makes you want to jump in your car this summer and re-discover Canada.

The Sleeping Giant is a large land-form of islands on Lake Superior that when viewed from the shoreline looks like a giant laying down. Fly over it and it looks like a dozen rocky outcrops in the lake with no form. Yawn.
