Yeah, I saw the Habs' schedule for next season earlier today. Was hoping to see more teams from the Western Conference, especially SJ, Anaheim, and Vancouver come to town. Only Detroit and Nashville will play at the Bell while Habs have to travel to California to play the Sharks and Ducks. But there are always those must-see games when the Penguins, Sens and Maple Laughs are in town.
The NHL schedule is based on a 6-year template that has the Habs hosting each division of the Western Conference every third year. This year, we host the central division (Detroit, Nashville, Chicago, Columbus and St Louis). Similarly, we visit each division of the western conference every third year as well. (this year, the Pacific Division is where we go, to visit San Jose, LA, Anaheim, Phoenix and Dallas)
Next season, we'll host the Pacific Division teams, while visiting the Northwest Division teams (Vancouver, Colorado, Calgary, Minnesota and Edmonton)
