Very nice and timely, this opportunistic bunch of privileged syndicated workers have chosen the constuction workers vacation and 30+ degrees hot and humid sunny days to go on strike.:mad:

And with all those lakes being closed due to blue weed contamination,it makes things even more complicated for those looking for clean water to bathe and swim.

Many montrealers can't afford going to usa or south America and can only get some swimming at Parc Jean-Drapeau.

It really is amazing that when these workers want to get their point across, all they really succeed in doing is getting everyone pissed off at them. The same thing with the transit workers. Great way to get the public on their side.:rolleyes:

Seriously; they work for a quarter of the year, what do they expect?

Not only that but the link you posted makes mention that the Société Parc Jean-Drapeau had to fire the lifeguards (the majority of them students). Those kids probably weren't unionized as it takes a while of paying dues before any rights kick in! Way to go, the union really helped them out!
