An interesting subject was brought up by celine.
It seems that one of her customers was not only seeing one of the girls without going thru the agency, but that this customer was also promoting her services "on the side" to other potential clients.
I am not talking about this situation which is quite blatantly wrong.
The agency in that case is justified to ban the client and fire the sp.

seeing a regular on the side without telling.
Obviously this is one of the great hazards of the escort business, as clients become regulars with one girl there is a temptation and tendancy to cut out the agency thereby reducing the price for the client and increasing the revenue for the girl

For myself as I do not really repeat, this is not a real issue.
but would like to get the opinion of some othere posters / sp's and agencies on this issue.

Cutting out the middleman is an age old strategy for buyers and producers alike in very many industries, most notably retailing and distribution. Moreover, the Internet facilitates direct contact between clients and produrers.

Cutting out the middleman is a normal occurence, when middlemen no longer bring enough value to the supply chain, with respect to their cost. I'm not saying Celine does not bring value, I'm just trying to put her plight in perspective.

I saw a SP 3 years ago that used to work with an agency. On our first encounter she asked for my phone number and wrote it down on her agenda. A few weeks later, she called me and said that she does not work with that agency anymore, and if I'm interested to meet her, I should rather call her directly, which I did for a couple of times. Obviously this SP was planning to get out of that agency asap when she was hired, and her sole objective was to get some of that agency's clientele before starting her own business.

Blacklisted by agency

Each time I read that a user may be blacklisted, I just do a count of the agencies available!!!
Are you serious; do you give them your real name with ids and fingerprints...and a picture of yourself????

P.S. Why use MERB (PM) to book a girl????

Black list

EB

Don'yt be afraid, my brain is functional enough to live in this kind of world and I take the required measures to protect my activities and my life and my identity (to the extent possible).
Everyone is free to use whatever methods to retain the services of an escorts, but newbies to this world should think twice before using methods leaving traceable links.
That was the purpose of my intervention.
As for the thread itself, as I don't repeat often, and even if, I don't believe I would want to go direct (other potential consequences but being blacklisted!!!).
You never know who is really behind a particular agency!!
This is easily forgotten!!

Even if you don't use PM to book a girl, your identity could be revealed through the SP reviews you post. I don't use PM to book SPs, but it would be hard to keep 100% anonymous on this board. Anyway, EB it was a good thing to mention the privacy issue.

Identity and Booking

Fully agree with the above as far as us locals are concerned.
Unless your reveal your real identity to the sp while discussing with her!!!!
Who dares to do that???
As far as reviews are concerned, it can wait a few days (quality of review may even benefit from it) and you never specify time of meeting with the sp (be it day, week or even month!)

CoolAmadeus

Hidden handle/identity

Sorry guys, but I have to disagree... For someone you seldomly post on this board (or any other board), you can probably assume that by not revealing your handle or email address you are safe and no-one will find who you really are. However, if you are a regular poster (like myself to an extent and quite many of you guys), don't ever expect your identity to remain hidden if you post about your encounters, even if you don't book using your handle or using a different addy.

Agency owners and operators are as much clever as most posters here (if not way more than some!), and will easily establish the link between your booking identlty and your handle, whether by noticing some details about your sessions, the date/lady you indicate in your post, or by other means. The more detailed your posts are, the easiest it is to find out.

I remember a few years ago when I was heavily posting on Canbest (I thought anonymously!), and both Jacques and Chloe from LFMJ eventually asked me up front "You are CoolAmadeus aren't you?". NEVER did I mention anything about my handle back then, nor did I mention anything about the Internet, but they still figured it out... Recently, Celine asked me the same question as some point in a phone conversation, and again never did I mention anything to her about MERB prior to this.

But anyway... There is nothing bad with this when you're a nice guy, right? (like me?! LOL... And all of you I am sure!)

Just my 2 cents...

This thread has drifted quite a bit from the original topic, n'est ce pas? Anyway, to the reasons already given for not using MERB to book a session and for not revealing one's handle (let alone one's real ID) to an SP/agency, I'll add that an SP may get self-conscious if she realizes prior or during a session that the john may review/grade her on Merb. This can cramp her style and is not conducive to good sex, I believe.

Blacklisted? don't made me laugh. How many clients can an agency can afford to blacklisted.

even if you book app. through MERB they still don't know who you are. unless you want them to know or give them hint to find out.

Doen anybody know who am I?
Hint: I am not a first timer here.

btw, is EagerBeaver n EBS the same person.
They sure have a lot in common

I agree that being blacklisted has few consequences if any :) Unless all the agencies establish a common client_to_avoid list (or a merb board equivalent), which I think is not going to exists anytime soon!

Besides, the girls changes agencies so often, that being blacklisted from one will not even prevent you from enjoying any particular girls, in due time... How about blacklisting agencies... which is somewhat more like what this board is about... Finding the best amongst the lot, those highly recommended and warning other hobbists about those to avoid...

On The Side?

In Nevada (or anywhere in the US), the only legal way to legally pay for sex is in a legal NV brothel. "Going around" the brothel is a big issue, because independents are illegal.

The concept of "going around" an agency in Canada seems truly strange from my understanding of the Canadian laws, as represented on the Spreadsheet web site. My reading is that agencies that charge a percentage, rather than a flat fee, are illegal in Canada, or are at best, skirting the law.

Am I missing something here?

Thank you for the clarification; glad I got the story straight. Certainly I undertand the ethical responsibility to the agency, provided they provide a service. I just think it's interesting that what they are doing, taking a percentage, a large percentage, is illegal. The concept of being responsible to someone who is doing something illegal is, well, strange, since continuing to use them is to aid them in breaking the law.

In Nevada, LE is on the side of the brothel, and women who out-date as indies can be "turned in" - a constant threat.

I am most impressed by the FKS operation, which serves the agency function to some extent, while letting the women decide how much value the affiliation is to their practice.

At least for now, in reaction to the NV brothels problems and pricing, and to stay legal, I have decided to limit my Mtl selections to indies and non-agency agencies, like FKS (are there any others?).

FKS, etc

I think some are using the wrong terminology here to describe FKS and associations like them (if there are any). Instead of a non agency agency we gentlemen should view it as a "association" of Ladies that provide us great service and value for the most part.

When making arrangements, I do it through direct contact with the specific Lady and all aspects of our relationship are between the 2 of us. When using a agency you do this with the agency owner or manager. Agency girls usually have drivers that deliver them to the appointment and watch the clock. I have never experienced this or this atmosphere with the FKS independent Ladies I have met. They seem totally in control of their own business and decisions of what will transpire are totally between us.

I am not saying this is better for everyone as everyone likes different things, I am just trying to explain what I perceive is the difference to me and my experience.

Thanks for your time
