Well my first time in Mtl and I have been a big Habs fan all my life....I was hoping to catch the game, but they are playing in Ottawa that night. Where is the best place to watch the game DT? I think I will be staying at the Omni. Are there some good strip clubs nearby that will have the game playing?

I'm not sure you'll get DT (surely not on huge screens) in strip clubs (SCs) downtown Mtl. It's being a while I haven't had a look at downtown's Mtl SCs, but from the last time I visited them (over 6months and +), the ones closer to Omni had small TVs and they were not DT: they are all on Ste Catherine -> Super Sexe (in front of Les Ailes de la Mode)...not far from the corner of University...then a bit further on your way to the Old Paramount Cinema and passed that cinema, you have a bunch of them such: Downtown, the one next to Downtown, another one right in front of the Old Paramount cinema..etc
Club Wandas 1310 De Maisonneuve West Corner of De La Montagne & De Maisonneuve -> I recall seeing small non DT TVs there...but they've probably changed their TVs by now).
PS: I would personally go to a Peel Pub or places where you can play pools... downtown Mtl to watch the hab's games
(they generally have huge DTvs).

If only I knew...
Watching the game in a stripclub? That'd be about it:watching it with no sound! None I know have a big screen, only small TV behind the bar or stuck in a corner.

Sorry can't help!

The best place to watch a habs game is on DVD...as long as the DVD is of a habs game from the 50s, 60s or 70s.

Not strip joints, but:

Peel Pub has big screen TVs, but is usually crowded

Dunn's has some TVs, is usually empty, and is open 24/7
