Actually the reason to go to this event is for the electric atmosphere in the stadium as they will be screaming for every move that ST.Pierre makes, I would imagine that it will be tough and boring watching this event from the stands plus the tickets will be way overpriced, it would be much better to watch it on a screen at a bar.

A better event to go see at the bell centre would be the Edison Miranda vs Jean Pascal boxing bombfest on June 7, it is guaranteed not to be a boring fight as these two guys have dynamite in their fists and it will be bombs away as soon as the bell rings, the fight will not go past three rounds and the winner is rumoured to get a shot at the winner of the Taylor vs Pavlik rematch for the middleweight title, do you agree Ziggy my good man?

Hey Mikey you might want to ask GG if he wants to come along with you to UFC event, I hear that he wants to go but can't find a friend to go with.:p

Anybody able to get tickets at a reasonable price? How are these events live anyway? I couldn't imagine sitting at the top of the Belle Centre for $400 a ticket just to watch Matt Serra beat up on GSP.

I got my tickets for $250 or so, but that was on the day of the sale, now seats in that section are asking $1,000. I should have bought 6. The events are good live, I have been to four. In terms of the actual view of the fight, you can see better on TV, particularly if they are in a bad position, such as on the ground with their feet aimed at you. But the arena is full of big TV screens, so you watch on TV then. It is the atmosphere that makes it great, the tough guys and stripper-looking women in the crowd, celebrities and fights in the crowd, etc. And you get twice as many fights, the live show starts several hours before the PPV.

So, Martin & Chris. Will you guys be coming to the fight with an entourage of beautiful women? Make sure you guys have a full stable. I am coming of from NY ( I'm a GSP fan ) for the fight ( section 304) and I plan on keeping your phones busy.

Put your $ on GSP in 1st round

Stubhub has some tickets available in the nose bleed section up top for $175. Hopefully the prices will come down even further.

I'm tempted into going to the show, but even St-Pierre said the other day on tv that he's not even sure himself how long his bout will last. It could be a couple of minutes to going the distance. Should i bother to risk paying big $$$ for a ticket and add to this the expense of a trip to Mtl (including sps) for the possibility of the bout going just a couple of minutes? That's what i hate about UFC....too many big bouts end way too quickly!

Agreed, instead of dropping the $175 for the ticket and the countless bucks to be spent at the event, I think I am better off hitting a local bar that has it on the TV and apply the savings towards a really hot sp!

A quick bout is not a bad bout, I would rather see a quick, decisive knock-out or submission than a boring 5 round decision. Not all long fights are boring, but some can be.

And you get 10 or 12 fights, so they are not all going to be quick.
