Sex Slavery Widespread in Canada

This is the second time in the last couple of weeks I've read a ridiculous fabricated claim that "90 per cent" are forced into the business.

At least the Gazette printed a response pointing out it was not true.

And BTW, the "40,000 trafficked into Germany for the World Cup" was also ridiculous fabricated fear-mongering before the event in 2006, acknowledged by all monitoring actually done during the World Cup to be "unfounded and unrealistic", and I presume the columnist probably knew this but repeated the lie anyway. But that's somewhat expected in an opinion piece by a columnist.

The "90 per cent" thing in the canoe.ca article is quoting a police officer who knows it's not true. Why does the media never question this idiocy? The police say there's hundreds of slaves, then use the "not enough resources" excuse for why they can't find them, even though they're advertised? So, they're too busy doing other more important things, like handing out speeding tickets, to be bothered?

Those gangs what agencies do they run? If they are identified then I would boycott them. Would that help. I don't know but that would be my part to eradicate slavery.

She is one of the 6 or 7 from the previous story. In the newspaper they mention the cops monitor TERB.

One day, a cop told me he had heard from a few of his colleagues about a board dedicated to the escort business in Quebec. He was getting divorced so a few of those same colleagues had joked to him that he should start checking that board from now on in order to check out some 'prospects'. I acted clueless & told him i didn't know such boards existed. He said "oh no, there are all kinds of such boards for Toronto & Montreal, but i haven't found any for Ottawa." I gasped & said "Did you say Montreal? Really?? What's it called?" I was stunned when he said "MERB or something like that", he said.

We are not alone. ;)

Good response. Outstanding even!

I hate it when jokers tell me how they hang out with cops and then they goof around telling them about this gaffe place and that gaffe place as if it is a way to garner favour or aggrandize themselves with them.

When I say "Why are you snitching and kissing ass?"
The inevitable answer is "They know about those places already."
Too stupid to acknowledge what they did and why they did it.
