This warning is common in the states

But how does it apply to our canadian laws. Do this really protect anyone? More and more people are putting it up on their websites and adds on the net. Is the law changing in regards to the net? I thought prostitution is legal in Canada but not sollicitation.

MONEY EXCHANGED FOR LEAGAL ADULT PERSONAL SERVICES IS FOR MODELING AND

This warning helps with zilch in the States. The bottom line is that sex was exchanged for money. All the warnings and disclaimers in the world will not help one bit.

As for Canada, it is used as a disclaimer to protect against public solicitation. Actually, for the communication law in Canadian criminal code, the solicitor, as well as the solicitee, must both be physically present in a public place.

This is why Canadian cops use street decoys for street busts, and were unable to proceed with charges against Now magazine for communication.

I would be very interested to have an answer to that question from someone who is a canadian law specialist.

I've been wondering if I should add this kind of disclaimer to my website or not.

The canadian law is that sex for the exchange of money is not illegal. Soliciting in a public place is. Phones and email are not public and even if a cop was to contact you by phone or email... this is your personal area, freedom of speech. I had been arrested a few times and the only thing they had on me was soliciting in public... ie. bars, side walks, cars, in all public. The disclaimer is for websites because they are fully accessible to the public. The last phrase in the warning though is over the top. It is just begging for the cops to call.

To be honest, that is what I did

They will forget what you said,
they will forget what you did,
but they will never forget the way you made them feel.
