Do you guys think it is funny to waste someones time??

A professional girl like me will not book two calls at once and take the first one who arrives. I make a very specific schedule and it is very annoying when I wake up at 8 to meet someone early and they never come. This happens with new guys and regulars too. You need to understand that I sometimes refuse to see people because I have an appointment with YOU. If you would just cancel, I could please someone who is also eager to meet me.

PLEASE have the decency to let me know that, finally, you won't be able to make it. I don't need an excuse or anything of the sort, but just a little message saying, 'Sorry, won't be able to make it today'

I am talking now of this buisness but I know this happens everywhere also and it is a show of human decency when you are punctual. When you have an appointment set up, it is very rude not to show up without noticing the person or company.

Has it ever happened to you, not to show up, not to bother to call? Why?

Well the thing with me is that I even call when I am 5-10 minutes late. I respect people and their time and just hope more people can do the same.

Like I said, Some of the people who do that are regulars that have been very respectful with me and it is shocking to me when they don't call to cancel.

This is why I would like to know if some guys have done this in the past and why.

I don't want to start educating people on Appointment etiquette, but sometimes I feel like I have to.

Well, Maria, there is the expression: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

For the morning appointment a have a good friend who just gave me an amazing simple trick that I would have never thought about.

Ask the guy to give you a wake-up call. Let's say the appointment is at 9pm, perhaps ask him to call you at 7:30 to confirm and also to give you the time to wake up and get ready. If he doesn't call... you can just stay in bed!

If only I knew...
Bonjour Maria

Bonne idée le "wake-up call"!! Et ça transfère le responsabilité sur le client! Pas d'appel, Maria fait dodo vu que le monsieur l'a pas réveillée!

dont know if im understanding...pm me if i am not;)

Does this just happen in professions where people might think it is not important.. IE, STORE, Hairdresser ect... Or does this happen in big companies when there is alot of money involved?? Drs Office, Dentist??

Oui tu as raison!

It all comes down to respect, which is something that is slowly disappearing from our society. I am teaching my children about respect, treat people the way you want to be treated by them, and expect no less.

If adults don't understand the meaning of respect, how will they teach their children?

Absolutely. If any of my children make an appointment with an SP, they damn well better be there on time... oh, wait a minute...

Common Courtesy

Hello,
I agree with you, it is only common courtesy to call to cancel an appointment for any reason. But the reality is that things do happen. Believe me, I know that when the shit is hitting the fan, the last thing on your mind is calling to cancel. I personally take a chance and book at the last possible second so I can avoid situations that can arise. I do miss out on a lot of ones I want to see that are pre-booked, but that is a chance I take.

Although I would never pre-book in advance and not call, emergency situations can occur and make it hard to call or reach you in time. Has this person not contacted you back at all? Or have they contacted you as if nothing wrong had happened? If it is the latter then I agree with the other posters to not accept calls from that person anymore, regular or not. Otherwise something tragic could have happened and you getting upset will make you look like a heel. At least listen to what may have happened, but if it happens too often, you need to make that business decision... ;)

Treat others as well as you would like to be treated, but if they do not treat you well first, then kick some ass and take names later!

CA OUT!!!

3 guys never showed up or called to cancelled today.. 3 maybe it is the nature of incalls. They can get one more chance, but if they blow it... BYEBYE they can go see someone else and waste someone else's time.

I am not even angry. Just dissapointed at what us humans have become. There is no courtesy anymore. No Savoir-vivre. Anyhow, it is their lost.

I have had the same problem so often Maria... One time it lasted TWO WEEKS only one showed out of two weeks of bookings (we are talking two a day)
I was so upset I thought "what the hell am I doing"

It can hit hard if it goes on for too long... you just have try and keep your head up.

I have found that this happens more where you rely on the client to get out of his house or hotel... if it is you who moves around... they will more than likely be there. If you get to stay put... they don't bother.

What I have found works... take down the phone number, if it private caller ask them for a number. I have found that once the person is willing to give me their number... they are serious... the ones that refuse... have more often than not... found it funny to make the appointment an just get off at the thought of us waiting for them.

Also about the double booking. I do that alot. very rare do two people show up though... on the rare occasion that they do... I let them know that I forgot about the other caller and I have to take the one that booked first... I send them to the coffee shop accross the street...

Sorry if it sounds un professional... but hey... we need to live too and we cannot get by on clients who think that they are cool cause they got a chick to wait for them.

I just had a SP back out on me in North Carolina a few weeks back. Prior to the date, We spoke on the phone 3-4 times. We sent PM's through a forum that is much like MERB but for the deep south. We traded emails. I sent her the address at the hotel I would be at the day before. The point is that there was no mistake. We had a date. That day I was running a little late (I was making money so I can pay for luxeries like this once in awhile) . Anyway, after checking in to my room I called her and no answer and her voice mail box was full. I sent emails and continued to call her. I did this until an hour past the scheduled appointment. Since then I have left comments on the forum I have sent emails and left voice mails to understand what happened and to this day I have heard nothing.

Even if she gave me a lame excuse and a half hearted appology I would accept it and move on.

I should put a review in on TER.

Hello Maria,

I have to agree with Tracy. You should insist on getting a number so you can call them just in case. But, of the several incalls I have done every one of them required me to call 5 minutes before the appointment to confirm I was there or they would move on. Don't put up with this lack of manners. As you know from the games you see here, there are always a few who just want to be jerks.

Good luck,

Korbel

Well

The thing is Korbel,

I am not offering a normal Montreal incall. I do have manners and class. When a guy makes an appointment with me, he can be sure he will be able to see me and that I will look wonderful, smell delicious and that my appartment will be impeccable. Of course, the service is going to be mind blowing also. But, I just could not book 5 clients for the same time and take the first one who comes in. It is just bad etiquette and I do have a good reputation to keep.

Hello Maria,

That is not what I was suggesting at all. When I went on incalls in Montreal or to Boston I made an appointment a few days ahead. I would call or email to confirm on the morning of the appointment, then the escort would have me call for the room number from the lobby of the hotel when I arrive there a few minutes before the set time. If I missed my preset time frame I would be out of luck since all or most of her meeting time frames would also be preset. But, I certainly was not suggesting any lady schedule more than one guy for an time frame. I don't know why you thought I would even think of suggesting that you over book the same time. I have been screwed like that by disreputable escorts, as you may have read, and I sure don't wish it on anyone. My idea was simply that if a guy doesn't make his window you don't have to waste time with him.

Cheers,

Korbel

PS

And I am sure you are steaming :D.

Sorry but I have to say that this does not sound like a good practice for the Hobbyist. Many hobbyists believe that when we book an Indy that means she will see only 1 or 2 bookings per day. In your case, if you end up seeing four, well....Also, I have heard horror stories in reviews about hobbyists that show up and someone else is in the bedroom and the escort moves Johns from room to room and then gets them off as quick as possible to get them out the door. I saw a Indy girl down south for an outcall that was 3 hours late. She called with several excuses that turned out to be lies. I was sitting in a bar across the street from my hotel watching basketball and drinking beer so it was not too bad. She finally admitted that she was squeezing in other appointments. Not a great time for me. I feel like a prisoner waiting for the girl to show up. I should have sent her packing as this was one appointment I regreted.

I understand that this must happen to you often, so, like the airlines and hotels or other businesses, you must find a way to cope. Just remember the guy sitting accross the street in the bar or the guy that is passing time in the hotel waiting for you.

PS
When Xxxtase was over an hour late this summer, Martin called twice. The second time, and without me even asking he offered to knock the price down - Nice touch. I got the lay of my life by Caroline for $120! I forgive you Xxxtase!
