    Wifi problem...Need assist please.

Wondering if anyone can help me out with this problem I'm having.

I'm using a wifi connection, it's working fine using Firefox but when I try to sign onto MSN Messenger I get a message saying "we're unable to sign you into messenger at this time, click to troubleshoot the problem," so I click to troubleshoot and it goes through a list of things and checks them off one by one with a checkmark, until it gets to "Proxy Server", Your proxy appears to be offline or settings are not valid.

As I said, I'm only able to open Firefox and when I attempt to open IE it won't connect. I think it has something to do with my IE proxy settings but don't know how to remedy it.

Any idea what the problem might be, in laymans terms please. Lol.

    Thanks!

Maybe you should forget about chatting with your friends and just get laid instead.

    From Internet Explorer:

Tools / Internet Options / Connections / Lan Settings / Automation Configuration …

Try playing around with the check marks for:

"Automatically detect settings" + "Use Automatic configuration script"

Usually unchecking both will work fine or just having "Automatically detect settings" checked should also work.

More often, having "Use Automatic configuration script" checked is the culprit.

    Thanks Douman,

I checked "automatically detect" and unchecked "proxy server" and that seems to have remedied the problem.

Rumple, what are you supposed to do when you use the MSN chat to line-up your bootie sessions?

Send her flowers. Maybe take her out to eat so that she doesent have to do dishes. Help with the housework. Get a sitter for the kids and go on a date. Tell her that she is beautiful.
