Escort Agency Beats Up Client

With reference to an article which appeared in The Gazette..let's find out and openly publicize which escort agency sent its goons out to beat into a pulp a client who was apparently deceived by a crack-ho into taking extra time, but without her telling the price or negotiating payment up front, so he didn't have the cash to pay these extra usurious charges.
Perhaps we need to have a few MERBites take lessons from Tommy Harper in how to effectively utilize a H&B.

I don't see any reason why this can't, in theory, happen in a hotel room. It is only prudent that one is careful who he brings into his room. Its always best to stick to the reputable agencies here on MERB. Note how the article says the man is unwilling to press charges. These sleazebags rely on the 'taboo' factor of escorting to get away with it.

B&S agencies listed in the various warning threads never mention anything like this, but the level sleaze these people are involved in make it sound like, at least to me, something like this is not beyond them. Again, you need to be careful about who you invite to your hotel room or home.

I saw this in the Gazette today - seems like it was an outcall, not an incall:

Man roughed up after refusing to pay escort
Montreal Gazette
Published: Tuesday, October 07
A man's in his 30s suffered minor injuries to the head early Tuesday morning after being assaulted by one or two men on Papineau St. in Ahuntsic.
The incident happened after the man refused to pay for services provided by an escort he had hired for the night, said Montreal police Constable Yannick Ouimet. According to police, the escort provided more than was originally agreed to, and when the woman asked to be paid for the additional time, the man refused.
At that point, one or two men entered the man's home and roughed him up, sending him to hospital with minor cuts to the head.

Ouimet said the man has refused to cooperate with police and is unwilling to press charges at this point.

Oops, posted the link to the story but didn't see it was already here.

I can't understand why the guy wouldn't press charges. Can he be at risk of prosecution for hiring an SP?

The story makes no sense. If the John is not cooperating, who called the police?

Most likely ended up in the hospital, who in turn called the police to report the assault.

EB and others,

The hospital will call the police if the injuries seem to be crime related.

The victim not cooperating with police puts things in perspective. Namely the situation will be handled in an alternative fashion.

Not unless he so regularly brings SPs to his home that it has become a bawdy house. :)

EE, in the USA the situation would be handled differently. The federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, commonly known as "HIPAA", is a health records and information privacy law which would make such contact illegal absent the patient's consent.

If the abused person was a child, it would be a different story. But all adults would be required to sign a HIPAA authorization before the hospital could contact any third party, including the police.

In this case, the whole situation could have been avoided if the lady in question simply asked for the cash before providing the requested extras. I have negotiated extras and usually paid in advance. A couple times I paid afterwards, and the lady did not ask for the cash up front, but this was usually with well regarded agencies that knew me as their regular client. Of course if this guy was not dealing with a reputable agency to begin with, and was being upsold, it's curious to me that the girl would not have demanded cash up front especially if she had 2 goons in her pocket and knew it. The story still does not make sense even though EE has provided a plausible explanation for how the police got contacted.

It's also possible the guy got rough with the girl in addition to stiffing her, and that is why the goons went in. Or maybe he had stiffed them before (in which case the girl should have asked for cash up front). Perhaps he deserved the beating he received. And perhaps he knows he deserved to be beaten, and that is why he has not cooperated with the police.

EB,

So someone from the hospital goes to a payphone and makes the call as a concerned citizen or neighbour. You also have the emergency 911 staff that would not be bound by such restrictions in Quebec as well as others in the chain.

The second point is that you are dealing with parties on both sides who probably care little for any accepted concept of law as we know it. Usually in such scenarios ( remember the axe attack last year) the real reason never gets out and what you see in the media is a sop for the media because somewhat caught a glimpse of something.

Nothing Here Makes Sense

This whole thread makes no sense. The thread starter suggests this was an incall agency, the Gazette is reporting something that suggests an outcall agency. The guy was beaten in his own place, and it is not clear, unless he was a complete moron, why he would have allowed for the possibility of such a disagreement to occur in his own place where the agency would then know who was stiffing them (or their girl). It's not clear who called the cops. We are obviously not getting the whole story here, so it's not even worth speculating about when we don't know what really went down in the first place.

As the robot in "Lost In Space" would say, "It Does Not Compute! It Does Not Compute!"
