I am planning on visiting Montreal soon ( it's been much too long) and am hoping that I can get some advice. I am planning a 3 or 4 night stay for the express purpose of hobbying. I will be seeing sp's in the am, visiting clubs in the afternoon, maybe a massage incall and clubs, incall to my room or some street action until the wee hours. I have done this two or three times a year for the past several years ( I visit MTL for business every now and then too) and in the past have been able to have a great time for $500 US a day (or less) Due to the gains the CD has made, I am bringing double that and I don't want to fight crowds at the clus for dances. My original plan was to come up on Saturday night
(June 28) and stay until Tuesday or Wednesday ( July 1 or 2). But I see that this falls in the middle of the Jazz festival and I don't want to fight crowds in the clubs or get shut out of sp appointments. My other option is to wait and come up on July 10th through the 13th or 14th. I figured that these dates would be after the end of the Jazz fest (ends July 6th) and the bulk of the festival tourist would be gone and the clubs would be pretty much back to normal.

My question is... should I skip the June 28th plan and come in July or am I wrong and the action won't be too bad if I come in earlier. I will probably be booking my trip last minute so any help would be appreciated whenever and recommendations for sp's or clubs are always helpful ( I will be following some of oliver's leads on street action too)

Hello Jim
It definatley will be busy in town from the 28th-2nd for the Jazz fest and July 1st is also our Canada Day (our July 4th) so hotels may be a little more $$ and fuller than usual.. your back up dates are no better as we have the Comdey fest from July 10th-20th.(www.hahaha.com) So choose whatever works best for you.
Both events take place near the Wyndham hotel..I am unsure how this will effect your adult entertainment as much as other events such as the Grandprix but keep it in mind that the City will be busy...the festivals do effect some of the higher end street action which usually can be found on St.Catherine street and I am unsure if these better end ladies relocate somewhere else( Anyone know??) The reccomdendations in Olivers street action is in a different area and should not be that effected-but these are not always the cream of the crop as far as ladies(ie drug users etc..) but occaisonally you can find a hidden gem-
enjoy the city.

Thanks for the info Re: the comedy fest

I knew about July 1st ( I enjoy being there for that day) but forgot about the comedy Fest. I may try to fly up on Sunday night (July 6th) and leave Thursday morning (July 10th) that should give me enough leeway to miss the big crowds ( I hope)

Anyone see any major problems with these dates??

Thanks for the heads up

Montreal Summer = Festival seasons

Comedy festival, Jazz festival, francopholies, Construction festival

Basically there is almost always something on during the summer months. Aiming earlier in the week (monday to thrusday) can help you avoid maddening crowds and horrible traffic. The plus side is that many police are assigned to crowd control and such, so there are less of them out to hassle you while you enjoy your favorite hobbies.

Wyndham Hotel is a bas choice during the summer, as alot of the festivals happen right at the door. They charge more for their rooms, and you are trapped by the crowds. You will find it harder to get "service" there when something is going on.

I decided to take a chance and come up the 28th

Thanks for the feedback guys...but I took the plunge and looked around at the prices and my schedule and have booked a trip up next Saturday Night (June 28th) and I will stay until Tuesday afternoon (July 1). I am staying at the Queen Elizabeth..anyone here have any experience there?? I got a great rate for the three days and felt like staying in a good hotel for the trip. Anyone know if they have an onsite parking garage or is it Valet only?? any info about their SP friendliness scale.

I have already sent an e-mail to one of my favorites for a sunday afternoon meeting and should be in the clubs by 8:00 on Saturday night.

any info or tips would be appreciated

I was at a meeting at the Beaver club last week(LOL not what you think-it is an excellent restaurant in the hotel),it is not one of my personal favs as far as hotels but it is very nice and if you got a good rate then go for it... as far as SP freindly I dont know but as it is a large hotel you shoudn't have problems with having "guests" as long as they are discreet..Anyone else have hands on expereince??
As far as parking you can use their valet(20$ cdn) or park it in the lot adjacent to the hotel on Mansfield, both are secure.
enjoy

thanks for the info

Thanks for the info...I have sent out a few more e-mails and hopefully will be able to meet at least some of my favorites. I am renting a larger car specifically for hobbying with some of the street ladies ( bench seat..no center consoles)

Jim,

I can't say that my info is current, but there were numerous reports in past years that the Queen Elizabeth can be problems for guests who want to do late night hobbying. It seems at that time they had a bored and overactive security force. There may well be no problem now. The Ritz Carlton and the ST. James are two other Fort Knoxes that hobbyist should avoid. I believe the Queen E. should serve you quite well as long as you're not looking for 2am rendezvous. I always have a late night snack so I'd never consider anything less than 24 hour unrestricted access.

queen elizabeth

I have stayed there a couple of times. I can't imagine that you would have a problem with a lady visitor unless they were causing a problem. If she came in looking lost, I suppose someone might ask her where she is going, so make sure she knows your name/room number. The staff is very accomodating and would try to make sure your stay is comfortable as long as you aren't disturbing anyone. The hotel is large, so people are always coming and going. Garage underneath hotel is valet parking. Hotel has good access to underground malls. The train station is also right below. Some of the expensive floors might have a secondary access point/concierge floors. I stayed in a regular room. It was nice, but nothing spectacular.

I usually stay at the Queen Elizabeth and have had no problem. I've seen escorts as late as 1 am. As a platinum President's club member, I get a free ethernet connection to the internet, free phone calls and other goodies.
