The rumor at my wonderful place of work is that job cuts are coming Friday. Do you think the USA economy is so fucked that CocaCola will be out of a job soon? I personally ran the reports for management to review the yearly financial ahead of time and though things are down they are not terrible, but for management to get new cars and their base 20,000 bonuses they have to start cutting. I hate being staff. Hopefully they'll cull some management types, that be sweet, but Im sure they all have their asses covered.

If you could have one special girl on the night before you got laid off, who would it be? :p

No I am not drnuk, fuck you, no goddamnit I said Im not drunk. 1 more beer, shhhh. :D

I know there must be alot of suspense and concern out there about my outcome. Looks like I made the cut, still employed. Small percentage of lower staff (or maybe I should say older) got the axe. It may not be over though

Guess who's back to play!
Good morning,

I've noticed the best way to survive in your type of business is this.... Know a lot but don't tell all your secrets.... Make sure you keep your self up to date on new programs, but don't go running to them and let them see all that you know.... Once they have everything they think they can get from you, you'd be a higher target of being let go.....

All the best and congrates!!!!!!

Most (if not all) companies want to keep their best and brightest so my advice would be the exact opposite of this.

A buddy of mine's company uses several factories in China to make their products...and told me they've had to shift production to other plants over there due to planned shutdowns. He also mentioned these factories pay their workers every 3 months and wont mention the shutdowns to the workers...one day they'll walk in and be told they're out of a job...without the back pay they're entitled.

Imagine 20 million workers being let go...

Coca Cola-

I think it must be difficult for you to have to participate in gathering information for the company which will then be used by it to either cut jobs, bonuses or both. In my case, I have never been the person to have to tell someone they are fired or laid off. I was a few times asked my opinion when my firm had tentatively decided to fire someone. Of course layoffs for financial reasons are much more difficult, because you may be forced to get rid of people who are actually good employees.

I am glad to hear you survived so far. Perhaps you should get your resume in order and prepare for a worst case scenario.

IMO, the diversification into alternate brands was an awesome idea.

Dasani bottled water
Minute Maid juices

all coca-cola brands

i'd rather drink them than coke itself, though I do like Coke Zero when i can find it
