    Girls and Services?

    Just got through following an interesting discussion (“Girls and Services”) on an agency website and got to thinking. Ever notice how websites promoting escort services often have short descriptions of the girls – some sort of combination bio/promo including the usual acronyms (GFE, PSE, BBJTCIM, etc.) with a short word or two on how she “will rock your world”? Now like in most areas of business these descriptions are all too often more promo than bio. Just a thought but wouldn't it be great if owners could take the time to interview their girls, covering a range of key points that would help them to make these descriptions more insightful and useful and be able to reduce the time spent on the phone trying to help clients find that best fit? On internet dating sites comprehensive bio's are essential. There is no question that fine tuning these sp bios would pay dividends. Might help to cut down on negative reviews and the TOFTT excursions which so often result in a less than satisfactory experience. It just may be that some owners just don't know what questions are foremost in the client's mind. I suppose in the end it all depends on how much effort an agency owner wants to put into his/her website. Thought it might be interesting to start a thread on what types of info clients would find useful to include on agency websites in terms of narrowing the search for that best fit. Just to start, how about some of the following:

    -“more sugar than spice” (or the reverse)
    -“gentle disposition” or “ firecracker”
    -“sensual and affectionate” or “enjoys an active approach”
    -“is accepting of the disabled”
    -“is comfortable with older clients”
    -“has a great sense of humour”
    -“enjoys role playing”
    -“If you are shy, she is outgoing”
    -what is her preference in a beverage (some sites already include this)
    -What qualities does she appreciate in a client?

    just to throw a few out there................

    Whether this idea is useful for agency websites or not, what issues do you think run through a client's mind when internet shopping or even waiting for that knock on the door?

    Nice to see you active.

    The problem with differentiating one girl from another the way you suggest is that while it will help clients decide who they like more the agencies realize it will cut down inquiries as well as their chances of using some salesmanship. They want you on the phone more not less from their perspective. So the answer is...this idea threatens their profits.

    in the ladies profiles, more specifictly on their review pages.

    I will surely take a second look at some of you suggestions when I
    will be completing those.

    After talking to you quite a bit during my last trip I am not surprised you would be so accommodating. Truth rather than salesmanship (trying to promote something usually not as good as the promotion) is often better for business in the end.

    Interesting thoughts RG! What is put out there would have to be the truth though (or within the ladie's character she choses to play), otherwise, it would be disapointing. Some ladies might not feel comfortable indicating true personal preferences for certain things like perfume, music, etc.
    Or it would have to not be something so general and vague ("she is very nice and smiles a lot") that it would not help at all... And I would be surprised to read: "not comfortable with men above... years old"...

    What I do appreciate a lot --and is rarely found--is info on: smoker vs non smoker; tatoos and piercings. We need more of that!

    More accurate information is better

    I agree that in an ideal world, ladies at agencies would also have full profiles which they could update themselves to refelct their personalities in an endeveour to make good matches, and not just the most matches.

    Independent Vancouver escorts and most likely all independendent international escorts have that luxury. Though I suppose an agency may want the phone girl to sell you on somebody now.....rather than have you sift through their site for hours or days.

    Thanks for the good thoughts Korbel. I considered the idea of sales promotion over the phone when composing this. There seems to be a shift recently in sales philosophy possibly due to the rise of companies specializing in sales training strategies for success. From what I can gather there is a new level of sophistication being brought to the fore. There is much more emphasis on the win/win scenario as opposed to the bulldogging sales pressure common to the used car salesman of times past. Companies such as Future shop are using this concept blatantly in their television ads. This site (MERB) is all about and totally geared to success for the client with his chosen sp. If new strategies work then kudos to the agency owner with vision.

    It's funny that Jessy picked up on this thread because as I was composing it I had the thought that she would be the first agency owner who would click into this. Being fiercely competitive she never did let the grass grow under her feet.

    Just a couple points to add. There are parallels between choosing an escort and browsing through an online dating agency. In fact an encounter with an sp is often called a date. Some independents even ply their trade through the intimate sections of some online dating agencies. Also clients like to feel (whether real or imagined) that an encounter is a date. The exchange of currency for favours is best downplayed in both thought and deed. And what about the escort herself? "Best fit" just has to result in a more pleasant work environment. Now this is by no means a solution to the downside of the escort experience. The girls will still have to deal with jerks and some clients will still have to deal with the dismay or reluctance of the sp (young?) who tries to provide little or no service, or in the final analysis, the simple case of bad chemistry. A good encounter between sp and client is a win/win all around and definitely good for the reputation of any agency. The word spreads fast on this site, on back channeling and plain old word of mouth. An agency that is able to provide a greater percentage of successful encounters just has to be smiling all the way to the bank.

    I believe that agency owners worth their salt do interview their girls and make it their business to know exactly what they are dealing with. They don't need the hassle of having to deal with a problem child. Reputations can be won or lost with bad choices. An astute agency owner would in all probability, have little difficulty with assessing the persona of each of their girls and determining personality types and strengths. It is then a small matter to expand on the bios of their girls. Also is it not in the sp's best interests to be steered onto clients who would be more likely to make the encounter flow more easily? For example, a shy introverted type of client might enjoy a more extroverted style in his sp, whereas another client more outgoing might be thinking, "My God! I wish she'd shut up!"
    There are no guarantees here. This is just all about discussing another tool an agency owner might employ to give them the competitive edge.
    But I am sure the suggestions you made here are useful. I would bet there are a few clients who would appreciate a heads up on smokers, tatoos and piercings. And I do hope agency owners will consider what anyone cares to add.

    You all brought up really good questions here... And as you all know what I'm doing right now, I feel that this is something that I want to look into more... So I hope I'm not going out of line with some of my thoughts....     I have to agree with starter of this thread. When I opened my site, I made sure to point out that I am a relaxed girl wanting to meet with relaxed men. As the weeks went by, I realised that I could be more specific and I have to admit, My site may look daunting to the few who actually read it (rules, what not) but, the people who do proceed to call me, are much more respectful than what I had for years previous to this.

    For agencies, yes, it could hinder the opportunity for sales pitching over the phone, but the girl will appreciate more, being able to enjoy their night.

    As for diminishing over all clientel, I don't find that being specific did that. I had a boost in clients, and now, I go home feeling better rather than feeling abused or used. This is much better for the phycological state of any working girl.
