EDIT: This thread has been split off from the Roberta review thread as it is off topic there. If you wish to discuss the question of shills, calmly and respectfully, please do it here.

Thank you,

Mod 8

{hey mister mod i made no acusations just commented my opinion objectivly but YOU ARE VERY AWARE that nadya has ACCUSED ME DIRECTLY of shilling and being a pimp on this board<mod's killing a good time > you were there and said NOTHING}

well also from reading THE KING'S reviews i also suspect mabe a little GREEN
in the experiance department

as for woody he seems to have many posts close to nadya and always in her favor or against whoever she has conflict but then again I COULD BE WRONG
{i have continued this mod member discussion in the lounge MOD's KILLING
A GOOD TIME}

seriously at the rates and the qualities mentioned on the NADYA VIP website
I believe all of us PAYING customers are interested in seeing more reviews

si non pourquoi payer se prix?

Just because someone can afford a range rover, or a Ferrari, or a Lambourghini, doesn't mean they know how to drive it properly. A lot of times they're in over their head and just end up crashing and burning.

I have a feeling that the same thing happens with HDH ladies.

And when you become a mod, you will have the right to tell me where I can and can't post on this board. Until then...

PS: by the way...find me where such a rule exists and I will abide by it. Until then, just go away. Far away.

Dictatorship? members can't ask question and wonder anymore? Without making any accusations you can still wonder right?

I have to agree. Woody Woody looks like a close relative of Nadya.

AllOverHer,

There is nothing wrong with asking questions. But in this case we have two posters who have yet to establish their own credibility making accusations of shill against other new members. And not for the first time.

We have some posters complaining about reviewers being banned and now we have posters trying to chase reviewers away.

If you have questions pertaining to the review, then by all means post them and allow the reviewer to respond.

But before jumping on the shill bandwagon, how about we start giving people a bit of a chance first.

And Octavian, do you see a review from Woody Woody in this thread? I don't. So I guess that just stating the intention to see someone qualifies as a shill these days? I've noticed that you have no reviews but have posted glowing recommendations for Devilish in the past. Does that make you a shill also?

Please everyone, let the reviewers review and leave the shill hunting to the mods.

Thanks,

M8

Members should be able to challenge the intergrity of a review or reviewer if done in a respectable way....they are just pointing out some questionable patterns in these posters activitys when it comes to this agency and their seemingly loyalty to defend bad reviews for a particular agency.

This is an open forum....lets keep it that way.

respectfully,

Banger,

A member should have some credibility of his own before he can question the credibility of another. If we call everyone a shill just because they favor dealing with a particular agency, I believe we will be calling many reviewers shills before long.

If the best that someone can do is cry 'shill' when they disagree with a review, that is not a very good argument is it? If someone wishes to question a review, fine. There is no problem with that at all. We welcome respectful commentary and criticism. But these constant accusations of shill to every relatively new poster that comes along have got to stop. If not, we might as well just pull up stakes and close the board as there will be no new reviewers willing to come forward when the old guard retires from MERB.

Hello Banger,

Shilling accusations have a large cost to the purpose of the board. First time reviewers can be very fragile in their willingness to be public about their experiences and reluctant to post at all. Often, they look forward to contributing and enjoying sharing and reliving the great time they had, but worry about the reaction of others and are not willing to absorb criticism when they are just trying to be helpful. Imagine what it feels like to post an honest review effort and having it challenged and your integrity questioned by strangers who couldn't possibly know whether if what you are saying is truthful or not. It's rude, mean, arrogant, presumptuous, and very insulting! How many possible prolific reviewers have been cut off at the roots by a shill accusation or a White Knight who can't stand to see his lady receive anything less than perfection.

The accuse first attitude defeats the purpose of the board and should not be allowed. Some have shown a habit of making unfounded accusations and it is they who may be doing more damage to the boards by silencing or scaring off potential reviewers. Shills are always exposed in time, and identified quickly enough by the mods to minimize the damage. But the habit of making accusations can frighten off many members looking in to see how welcome their reviews might be and instead finding self-appointed anti-shill goons pouncing on a newby just for being new.

In order to promote more reviews, and avoid scaring away potential reviewers, ALL shill accusations should be made privately to the mods who have the tools to expose real shills. This ought to be a board rule.

Really,

Merlot

I am not in favor of "shill police" as a board policy for members to actively participate. I agree we should foster new reviews and reviews from newbies and create an atmosphere where they feel welcome and heard.

This board is public, but funded by the advertisers, there is a conflict of interest in that arrangement when an advertiser is hit with negative publicity that may impact their business.

In this situation, a relatively new agency has been hit with a negative review....in response, two relatively new members write positive reviews to refute the negative back to back, within 7 minutes!!!. This is a repeat pattern of another thread with the same agency, same members different SP. In fact one of the members even started the thread...later a credible member saw the SP and wrote a negative review of the SP. So other than FN, King of Kings, and Woody Woody, no other member has written a positive exp.

The others members that have been reading and following the pattern are expressing concern and support for the initial negative review being put down by these other "white knights"...I mean U have suspision also and have already gone thorough your check list and checked these posters out. ...In the end you will expose the shills, but in the meantime people spend money based on reviews......

Your comment when u closed the thread is troublesome:
You said further comments of shilling will be considered an attack....

Their delivery of the information was not respectable, but the information is valuable in assessing the credibility of the counter reviews.

just my opionon and thoughts...respectfully,

Banger

Hello banger,

First of all, the review thread is not closed. I welcome constructive comments by all members. Simple comments such as "shill' are not welcome, especially when they are made by members who have yet to prove their own credibility.

I mean U have suspicion also and have already gone thorough your check list and checked these posters out.
I check out every shill accusation, no matter who it is made against or who makes it. If it is found to be valid, it is dealt with in the proper fashion. Not by a public "shillhunt".

You said further comments of shilling will be considered an attack....
Yes I did post that, but you have taken it out of context. It was directed specifically towards the two unproven posters who made the shill claim in the concerned thread. This is not the first time they have leveled accusations against new posters.

Their delivery of the information was not respectable, but the information is valuable in assessing the credibility of the counter reviews.
What information did they deliver? The posted a suspicion, an attack on the credibility of two reviewers. A suspicion based on what? The simple fact that they have posted good reviews?

This board is public, but funded by the advertisers, there is a conflict of interest in that arrangement when an advertiser is hit with negative publicity that may impact their business.
Finally I will address this point. It has been stated in the past and I will state it again here. The moderators have no financial stake in MERB. We are not paid nor do we receive incentives from the advertisers on the board. Each moderator works independently and makes his decisions on his own. We do not consult with each other or with the owner of the board when making our decisions. Fred Zed does not have the moderators on a leash and has no say on how we moderate the board. We have banned advertisers in the past as well as members. When a no review policy is put in effect, all reviews - good and bad - are removed. We do not edit reviews, remove them or censor them unless rules on content are broken or the review is proven to be false.

Our loyalty is to the overall MERB community and it's members. Posters and advertisers both.

I see no conflict of interest here.

Really? When have I ever told someone they have no business in a thread? Can't remember ever doing that myself. But hey, maybe you have a better memory than I do. And if I ever did do it, I'm pretty sure it wasn't after being on the board for just one month, after dumping on the mods and making ranting and raving posts like drinkher has done in his oh so short time here.

But maybe I'm wrong. Who knows. And really...who cares?

Hello all,

Sometimes I wonder if some people see the exposure of shills as a sport. Who can spot the most shills with the first public branding of a scarlet letter, "S" in this case, in a year wins a trip to the Bahamas with their favorite escort...or something. Do we really need self-appointed shill bounty hunters accusing at the slightest hint or suspicion of shilling. The atmosphere that this creates in the review threads is only counter-productive. There is always a mod on duty to notify discretely, so there is no need to use a very likely unwarranted public scourging that will scare away many productive potential posters with valuable reviews.

Really,

Merlot

Dear Friends,

We often witness, see members with limited posts being accused of shilling, having no credibility and are basically being run off the board. Why do we do this?
With all that I am reading lately, I wonder!...

Dear Kronos,

What you wrote is correct in many ways.
A person like Drinkher is an antisocial individual with disorders, manifested in aggressive behavior without empathy or any remorse for disturbing the well being of the community. It has become felt by MANY readers who will not become members of Merb because the smaller man will twist their comments into ridicule. So why go throught the greif ... I know, I speak to them always inviting them to post reviews and to become full fledged members.

The man is shallow. Everyone observed that he always gets involed into heated exchanges with many members and advertisers alike.

Again he is a little man, is comments have NO bearing or leverage on anyone.

Write your comments and reviews !!! You dont need 150 post just to built a character to please a few lightheaded individuals such as Octavian !!! See Mod 8's comments. He as NO REVIEWS besides having DEVILISH on a on a "" pied destale "" in one post and now there
he is questioning other Members credibility and Merb Mod's integrity ???

Trust that respected Members of Merb such as Korbel, Doc Holliday,
Special K just to name a few and the large majority
of people populating this Forum , will always welcome them !!!

Good night Chronos and Enjoy !!!

Nadya.

Who has the most credibility? A member like myself who has a limited amount of posts, with no attacks, no arguing and has shown no disrespect to any members. Or is a member who has over a thousand posts, 90% of these being unsubtantial or negative comments to fellow members, is this member a greater value to this community.
Kronos,

Do your thing man. It’s easy enough to look over a few posts of a member to see their general line of thought. Yes, it’s true that a newbie might not be taken as seriously as some other more “proven” members, but everyone starts at post #1 before moving forward.

For the newbies:

You are the one that knows the validity of your post.
If you get hit on, don’t fall into the game of certain individuals that want to start flaming.
Stay cool, and continue your posting therefore building your credibility.

A few have already said it ... if there’s shilling, the Mods have always done a pretty good job at spotting it, in a much more objective manner that many flamers.

It’s easy to have a huge number of posts ... just look at a few responses :

“good post”
“ya I should meet her”
“your right she looks hot”
“I was also thinking about that”
and it goes on and on.

Sure, it brings up the post count ... does it really bring up the review credibility ?

Once more, do your thing, and feel welcome by the huge majority of members and readers alike.
