Thread: Beware of dancers with colds!

    Beware of dancers with colds!

A friendly warning for all. Its that time of year again and I think I just caught a cold from a dancer who only told me she was sick after we got in the booth. It was worth it though but I would have appreciated a warning.

I hope that you alsorealise that sex workers do not get sick leave. Nor vacation pay, so as you we work through a little cold.

Also beware of the general population that has the flu.... A month ago, I had a client whop did not even bother to tell me he was sick and I was sick for a few weeks with the flu...

    Works both ways.
Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning
Satan shudders and says "oh Shit....she's awake!!"

I agree that many people work sick, but I'm not generally close enough to my taxi driver, accountant etc to worry about catching a cold from them. If you have a cold and are doing lapdances, are you not all but guaranteed to give your cold to everyone who dances you?

    Hello Mack,

I am not sure I see the necessity of bringing this out to distinguish the threat of catching a cold from dancers versus anyone else. One can get a cold touching anything where the virus might lay, so you sure don't have to touch a dancer or anyone to catch it from them. Possibly they don't even know they have it. In any case the only sure solution is life in a bubble with ultra cautious and constantly tested tube feeding...or maybe a sealed domicile on the Moon. So, I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me dancers or give me death!

    Ummmm,

It's not a question of that, it's a question of courtesy. She certainly did not force me but she did not tell me she was sick until after the dance began, after she had been talking to me close and breathing in my face for quite some time while we were sitting and talking over drinks beforehand. Like I said, I think the dances were worth a cold but it would have been nice to have been warned before, so I could have made that choice instead of having it made for me.

It's a much higher than 10% chance. For example you cough in your hands and then during the course of several dances you touch the customer repeatedly and frequently. Think that's the same risk factor as just talking to somebody for a few moments? It's not.

I think that many would accept the risk if warned beforehand but to not even let them make an informed decision is plainly mercenary and inconsiderate, regardless of how you may like to try justifying it. If you have a cold and dance just the same, I'd wager than you're giving it to at least half the people you dance for. I would never see dancers when I'm sick and while I can appreciate that not all the girls have the financial options available that would let them take some days off, I do think that getting fair warning is just that. Fair.

Bumping an old thread here because it seems timely to remind everyone now.

    You know the saying:

The fastest way to get rid of a cold is to pass it to somebody else.

    That's my motto anyway.

Word of advice for people involved with the sex business

I strongly encourage everyone connected with this industry....this goes for strippers, sps, johns, pimps, drivers, doormen, etc....to get the H1N1 vaccine. They should then get the seasonal flu shot. Hobbying or working in this industry isn't worth risking your lives & the ones of others.

..Strop being stupid like all the media dude....

the H1N1 is not more dangerous than the seasonal flu! My brother is a doctor and he is so making fun of the media that make people become paranoiak about his H1N1. If you are more than 70 years old, with many health problems THEN you can be a bit more scared of the H1N1 and THEN you SHOULD go to the vaccination. But if you are in good health, and like between 18 to 70 years old you don't have to worry about this.... Not more than the seasonal flu.

My brother is not just a little doctor in a little clinic, he was also a medecine teacher and he make many big conference all over the world for many many new doctor in the business so with all of his knowledge he know better about this H1N1 than these stupid media...

Sure, there is some exceptions and there was some healthy people that died from the H1N1, but this can and happen too with the seasonal flu so.......... nothing to worry about.

Well, just use purell or something like that and you will be very good.... no need to get the vaccine for this.... but well, if you believe all those shits and you think you will die if you have the H1N1 then go for the vaccine....
