What is the protocol in the following situation?
I was on the table this evening (doesn't matter the location, but it has had or continues to have a no-review policy, and since it could happen anywhere, the "where" is immaterial to the question), when the lights go out. Over 15000 subscribers were losing power at that moment according to Hydro Quebec. The room was pitch-black, not even a candle (remember when most parlours lit a candle no matter what for ambiance, even Booseeko's Studio Celeste?). This was around the 45 minute mark, just before she was going to introduce Dick Johnsson to Taylor Buckner. Most of my enjoyment of the final minutes of a session is taken from watching the girl stroke my appendage or watch her swallow it whole. Thus, when the girl said "oh, I can still bring you off in the dark", I declined the invitation and stumbled to get my clothes on and leave, saying that, without power, the metro wouldn't be working and it would take me 3X as long to get home by bus. I would not have fully enjoyed the stroke-in-the-dark experience, so why should I have taken it? I didn't ask for any money back even though it was a 45-minute session instead of 60, which I think is fair compensation for the girl...but I don't think I should have taken an unwanted option just because she wanted to pad her earnings, since it wasn't my fault the power went out, and power failures are a cost of doing business...other retailers lost sales too when their cash registers and credit card terminals failed to operate. How would fellow MERBites have handled this Quebec Sait Faire moment?

This is why I always have a candle in my toy bag, and also some places are either too light or too dark with no in between.

I was once at Hotel Ideal when the power went out. I just lit my candle and we finished playing. Getting dressed after was a little complicated, as was finding all my toys strewn around the room. The only thing I forgot was my umbrella ;)

I remember having some great fun in strip clubs during power failures over the years.:p

Maybe the massage parlors should install some emergency lights in the rooms just in case. They would provide more than enough light to finish a session. Might even be more relaxing and intimate with the reduced lighting level. ;)

the lady who through no fault of hers should have been paid a partial sum, what makes you say only she should lose .......If you call a plumber he charges you from the moment he leaves his place of buisness...I think if you used this excuse not to pay is very cheap on your part.........

I agree, because she spent the time with you in the room, and then in the end, to no fault of her own, she did not get paid, and on top of it more than likely ended up owing for the time she was in the room with you (understand, the salons do charge the girl 10$ per client they see on top of what you just paid at the door.)

I've been going to strip clubs for years and have never once been in there

during a power failure. Now I'm curious.

Power failures happen so infrequently.

If a power outage should happen, then it should be up to the client if the session continues, or at least he should be offered something in the way of compensation. ( Like a free topless option )

you are talking a 60$ option free, for a power outage... HA!

Why? the girl providing the massage is not responsable for the electricity, hydro quebec is.

Now, the girl, who is soley an employee, not owner, not manager, is supposed to pay the salon out of her pocket and let you get a free feel???? How does that even remotely make any sense to you... of anything if you guys were to look for a refund, you pay the masseuse that worked for her money (if no options, at least 10 bucks,) then ask the girl at the front desk (who did not work that hard for her 110 per day) for a refund.... If I ever had a client, while employed at a salon, with the audacity to tell me that the power went out, so I should let him grope me for free, I would quite litterally slap him.

I lost my virginity during the black-out of 1977 in a friends basement in Brooklyn.
