Just how far can a customer complain or refuse a SP or MP?

I mean if things escalate to a point were client and the SP argue, what is our right as customers if we feel we're getting screwed (price vs quality, attitude...)?

I don't see myself complaining to the Office de la Protection Du Consommateur,

I guess most of the time if we get screwed, we really get screwed.

If the SP decides to set up a skeem, what would you do?

I lived one absolute crazy experience a couple of years ago.

I called a dating phone line to meet with someone (for casual sex :D ). There was a couple of SPs offering their services at low prices.

I thought what the hek! and i opted for one and we set a meeting to her place.

I went and when she opened the door i was completely turned off by her look. The voice didn't matched the one on the phone. She looked older and dirty...

Anyways this is probably where as a customer i should've turned back and cancel the session. But i'm a smooth kind of guy and kind of polite so i entered her appartment.

I sat down in the kitchen and we started to talk a bit. In my mind i felt uncomfortable to tell her i wanted to cancel the session.

But as i looked at her teeth i was unable to conceive in my mind getting nude with her.

So i finaly said the first thing that came to mind: "i forgot my wallet in my car. I'll go get it"

Man i swear as soon as i said that, the corner closet door opens and a fat uglier lady comes out screaming so loud in my face with one hand hidden behind her back. She was threatening me and she was asking for my $50 or she would re arrange my face...bla bla bla.

Ok let's stop there. What would you have done?

(I swear this really happened to me, no bullshit)

I'll tell you the conclusion of the story after hearing from you guys.

To this day, i think that was the most bizzare moment in my life

Your mistake was going to her house, you dont know what there was

there. Thats why most sp's refuse to see people at private homes and

prefer hotel rooms instead.

Like Roland said I would give them some $ and get out and chalk it up as a

lesson in life.

That's why it's good to keep a twinkie or some ring-dings in your coat. You toss the twinkie up in the air (which in this case would be like tossing a tuna to a killer whale) and you make a break for the door. Also, there's always the fake wallet trick, which I mentioned in another recent thread.

Seriously I would stand pat and say something like "I am leaving now and I will leave peacefully, but if you so much as look at me funny on my way out you will be making the biggest mistake of your life and I can guarantee that my friends who are cops will be here before you have time to lick the icing off that twinkie."

If your brain tells you not to enter a situation, next time I hope you listen to it. Why do care about hurting the feelings of someone who has already lied to you, is about to rip you off, and who you will hopefully never see again???

I hear you Roland... You also have to know yourself. I'm a big tall guy and people usually avoid messing with me in the first place. I always avoid conflict and any kind of violence by nature but anyone who jumps me needs to be ready to experience a world of hurt. If I was a small guy or a weak guy, I might behave differently and just say "take my money". I agree that personal safety is the most important thing and it's not worth getting seriously hurt over money. Sometimes instincts take over...

I was jumped on St. Catherine st. in Dec '07 near St. Laurent by a punk kid (crack-head probably) who tried to grab my attache case out of my hand as I was walking. It's one of those stainless steel cases, which I stopped using because I think it makes people assume something valuable is inside for some reason.. His first mistake was judgement obviously. His second was leverage. He didn't have any since I was close to double his weight. His third error was trying to push me down onto the ice when he was wearing sneakers and I was wearing winter boots. I let him have my attache case in the end... about 4 or 5 times to the head that is :) and he wound up running away with a bloody nose for his troubles and probably a broken hand since I remember stomping on it. I didn't bother calling the police when it was over.

Sometimes shit happens. We all need to be careful out there.

Bigger size could be a problem.

Well,

Size could be your weakness too. I read a story in the Boston Herald close to a year ago. It had a photo with it. A very big experienced bouncer who was also a body-builder was working at a club. You could see from the photo the guy was huge, built like the bigger professional wrestlers or NFL players. He was just outrageously big. One night a punk gave him trouble at the club. I don't know why the bouncer handled the guy alone. Maybe he was just doing his job. Maybe he was over-confident because of the size disparity and therefor too fearless for his own good. The huge bouncer is dead. The punk was armed with a knife and stabbed him in the chest.

When I was into Kempo karate we had a visit once from one of the top masters with a 6th degree black belt. He gave us an exhibition and then some advice about being threatened with weapons. If you are under attack and it's life or death defend yourself with all of your skills and make sure the attacker doesn't get up. If you are being threatened by an armed robber, especially with a gun who wants your money or whatever, give it to him. Keep the issue at a robbery. Don't ever risk your life against an armed attacker for something that can be replaced. Don't make it into an issue of life and death. It isn't worth it. Of course, if you feel the need to be macho...good luck. ;)

About the episode, it seems very odd that two women would attempt to muscle someone when nothing has happened and they can be so easily found by the cops...unless these women are pretty desperate and pretty stupid.

Cheers,

That is exactly what these cases are good for! :D

I must agree, some of my friends who are in the police tell me there are more and more armed kids out there, ready to slash you at the smallest pretext... That is the problem... they lack judgement and don't think about the consequences between simple robbery and armed wit an assault. They don't care...

These stories bring back old memories from a few years ago. I'm 5'6 & weigh about 260 lbs. I may not be tall nor run fast, but i can hold my own & i'm very hard to take down due to my huge lower legs. Anyways one night as i was walking out of Chez Paree, a group of young teenage guys began to follow me & as soon as we arrived at an isolated spot of Stanley street, they began harrassing me & asking me if i was looking for something. I wasn't sure what they meant, but i told them 'no thank you'. One of them, the leader of the pack i suppose, asked me how much money I had & when i told him i was broke, he told me he didn't believe me & that he had a gun. I wasn't sure what to believe since he kept his hand in his pocket & wouldn't let it out. I then told him i also had a gun & i'd be willing to bet it was bigger than his & to get his stupid smirk off his face, i pulled out a Beretta. You should have seen their looks at the sight of my weapon & how fast they ran away!! :D

I never got bothered again.

For sure this is the case today. I would say that 30% or maybe even more of the guys 16-20 out there on a give Saturday night are carrying a knife... Luckily most of these stupid punks don't know how to use a knife properly and it can be very easy to disable them, but you usually only have a couple seconds to decide your response to a given situation and taking on a kid with a knife can end up very badly if you misjudge that response.

I would caution anyone to take the safe route and just give up the money when you encounter a weapon or a group of attackers unless you are packing a baretta :)

BTW Doc, I thought carrying a concealed weapon was a big no-no in Canada. Did you just get back from Texas or something :)??

Um...isn't this yet another reason to stick with established agencies and well-reviewed indies? While there are no guarantees in this business, it seems your odds of such an experience would be greatly diminished if you stick with known quantities.

This is why it amazes me that people get ripped off on Craigslist and then bitch about it in here. When you have access to all this info that gives you a load of dependable options, why screw around with the unknown?

Just my nickel's worth of opinion...no offense intended,

Bumfie,

Some long-time board members who know all the ins and outs are still fixated on street action and picking up crack-hoes who all probably carry weapons.

Some others can't help trying things that are more "risky" for whatever thrill it gives them, even knowing perfectly well that the chances of something BAD happening (even if it's just a bad SP experience) are so much greater.

To each their own.... Presented with all the facts and all the information, many people will still choose to make poor decisions. Not most of us, but apparently quite a few.

I guess it's human nature for some people...

1. Asking for your $50? Was the session price supposed to be $50? If so, seems you got what you paid for, as they say...

2. Seems obvious. If you can get out easily, like you are standing by the door and can duck out fast and start down the street, then by all means go. If you are standing in her bedroom with your pants around your ankles and are threatened to the effect that you pay $50 or lose your life, just think of the $50 as the cancellation fee, pay it, pull up your pants and leave.

I have had some life lessons that cost one hell of a lot more than that, and you can't take a college course for $50. So what you do next is think of what you've learned.

Ok so here's the follow-up:

I was sitting on a chair in the kitchen and still got my coat on.
Gave the fat fuck the $50.
I got up and went to the door.
While i was walking towards the door i took out my cell phone from my coat in a way they could see it and i dialed the 911 directly in their face but i was already a foot out the appartement.

They said: "c'est ça, appel la, la police, y peuvent rien faire....(go ahead and call the cops, they can't do nothing...)"

Now, i actually didn't really dial 911 right away because i had to think about what i was going to declare to the cops.

So as they closed the appartement door i hang up the phone, got to the elavator down the street.

Now i was thinking i have to be careful calling the cops. What am i going to tell them: "Euh...officer i got robbed in this appartement where i had a meeting for sexual services?" NO!

So i called the cops and said: "I called a dating line, got a meeting with this girl. She invited me to her place. Got there, started to chit chat, got a coffee, went to the bathroom and left. When i opened my wallet $50 was missing. I got robbed."

The cops came, 2 guys. Asked me a couple questions....appartement number and the story. I stayed outside and they went up.

Couple minutes later they came down and confirmed that it actualy looked like they had a set up system and looked like i might not be the only one who got robbed from them but they said unfortunately they couldn't recuperate my $50.

Then they started to ask me more questions and details and through their questions it made me feel like they were suspecting the sex for money option. Like it could be possible that i was also involved in a illegal situation. But finaly they just finished the question round and let me go.

End of the story.

Avoid the underground.

I was about 26 at that time. Now i'm 34.

But that's not it. Unfortunately i had another shameful similar experience a few months after. I'll tell about it soon.

Thanks.

It's not exactly taking the high road, but I can guarantee something like this would have made you feel much better... There are various options such as lurking around outside very discreetly until one of the hags leaves the building and then you collect information about her (which car is hers? does she have "real" job? who is she going to see?). You can use this information in many fun, entertaining, and personally satisfying ways.

You also have her phone number. You should write this number in every bathroom stall you enter. You should also submit it in as many web forms as possible to ensure that her phone is ringing night and day with telemarketers calling from every corner of the continent. You should call the SPCA and leave a message asking whether or not it is legal for your wife to beat her pets with a tire iron (her return number). You should order pizza to her apt frequently from every possible pizza place.

You will sleep well knowing that she probably screwed 100 people out of their $50 like you, and now she is paying for it.

BD

PS: When you order the pizza, be sure to order disgusting toppings that don't go well together (like pinapple and anchovies) just to be sure she never actually gets to eat one and enjoy it.

You had a cellphone before the Internet had quality escort review boards? I'm impressed.
