Recently in the following thread:

https://merb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=403919&posted=1#post403919

the issue was raised about people taking cellphone pictures of providers in various situations.

Jessy refers to cellphone pictures taken in a party situation where the relationship between the context and the activity cannot be established - as Techman points out.

The Bitchelor raises the issues of cellphones being used to taking pictures of performers in SCs - in the workplace if you wish.

It is common practice in many business, industrial, office, and other locals to ban the use / presence of cellphones outside a very limited and clearly defined area.

Should SCs and other places that are involved in the sex trade adapt and limit cellphone use?

Options would include checking the cellphone, refusing access to clients with a cellphone and other alternatives.

While cellphones can be used to snap pics in places like stripclubs and so on, the quality of such pics would be severly limited. Cell phone cams are not exactly very efficient in low light situations and it would be hard to identify someone in such a picture unless it was taken in a relatively well lit area. Some do have integrated flash units but that would be an instant giveaway that a photo had been taken and would lead to consequences.

Your depiction of the limits of the cellphone picture quality is accurate BUT I see greater issues.

Do you allow items into a club that have the potential to cause trouble?

The expectation is that the quality of cellphone pictures will only get better. Presently we have a chance to be pro-active on this issue.

This isnt only about it...but in a professionnal sight, Im loosing money with this pratice...its happened several time that somebody pay me to take a picture of my breast, ass, body in the booths..(here im talking about a lot of money!)...

And i wasnt talking only about picture..but video..look on youtube you could find some...(probably more on youporn but anyway)..you know, ive got tattoo (4) in very specific place..(and i aint the only one in this situation...But we will stay in my situation..there isnt a lot of tall blond women with my body type and my tattoos..it wouldnt be a big deal to recognize me..

BTW: i can record on my cell phone (black berry) and i got a very good zoom on it;)

It would be appreciated if self- promotion would be kept out of serious threads discussing serious issues.

So basically your point is that it is okay as long as you get paid your going rate.

In fact you are very explicit about where images of you may be found AND you are not trying to have them removed.

It is self-promotion because YOU openly and without qualifications state very clearly ".....its happened several time that somebody pay me to take a picture of my breast, ass, body in the booths..(here im talking about a lot of money!)... "

You clearly refer to yourself as opposed to other dancers AND you leave a clear impression that if the price is right in the future then you would agree to such filming / photosthereby encouraging such requests from readers.

if the girl in the booth is agree, why not? Its like any other extra..here, (on the gt thread) they were talking about HIDDEN camera..and people who took pictures of sp AGAINST their own consentement..

Anyway, if you see this as a self-promotion you know what to do..im out cuz you understand what you want to understand and nothing else

She has a good point here. Its her body and if she wants to make money with it, hell who am I to complain.

The issue is of pictures being taken WITHOUT permission!

Actually there is technology that can affect pic quality , but should people give up their phones when entering an SC ???

Is it wrong to sneak pics of naked girls without their knowledge? Well thats a no brainer and yet its rampant!! Sites like youtube and youporn facebook etc etc are somewhat responsible. There the ones who encourage such activities!

facebook is popular because they target their audience. People want instant gratification and they get it from these sites..

We take pics of catastrophes , we take pics of people getting injured, we take pics of human suffering , we take pics of horrific situations and people get their rocks off!

Shall we include these topics as well!

Do we chalk up a line here, or do we acknowledge that the moral fabric of our collective communities is at fault??

Is there a difference ??

A Few Points

While it may be her body IT IS not her SC. So she is not the one who sets policy. If she starts doing things that the other ladies or workers do not find acceptable then the line has to be drawn. Effectively it is up to the club ownership/management to set policy about pictures and cellphone use. The club gives or denies permission not the dancer.

In the thread that started this one, a number of posters stated that taking cellphone pictures in an SC in their presence would result in a confrontation.
Usually when a confrontation occurs in a club the dancer who is at the root of the problem disappears to safety as the bouncer(s) try to restore order.
Well bouncers do not get any benefits from such confrontations but they do assume unnecessary risks and aggrevation. Very simple solution - eliminate the cellphone.

Privacy of the booths - oxymoron since some are very open. Seriously, change the angle of the camera/cellphone and unwilling parties are included in the image. Again a "retired" dancer stated very clearly in this thread that if enough dollars are offered then she was more than willing. Not a stretch to see that for a few dollars more dancers would allow the filming of others from the sanctity of the booth.

Again eliminate the cellphone in SCs with a clear policy that offenders with cellphones will be evicted and the problems disappear.

Typical answer!

The problem is not the cell phone, but the one who uses it!

Using your logic we should then just simply ban people from SC's

You should run for office, your views are typical of the current doctrine!

Focus on the problem and not just the effect!

I've got something to teach here i think: there is a lot of girls who do any kind of extra....i saw many, many girls who let clients lick their breast, touch their pussy and so on and even worse (in a straight SC)..why it is worse to take pictures of a consent women?
Damn! My cellphone wont take pictures! :( So I guess I will have to use it for the one very special function that it does do well. It actually lets you talk to people who are not in the vicinity. How about that!

"Do you allow items into a club that have the potential to cause trouble?"

well then i guess all clubs should stop serving alcahol too?, cause im sure booze has caused a lot more trouble than cell phones have

u cant tell people they can not bring a phone in, people are on call for thier jobs, or are telling thier significant other they are out somewhere else and are expected to answer the phone when they call, oldest trick in the book, have ur phone on and the old lady calls, u run outside and answer it, the clubs would be driving away a big part of thier clientele with a move like that

SOMETIMES, It is better to simply not answer and say you forgot the phone in the car ;)

As for cell phone abuses, there will always be some jerks out there who think that it is kewl to take photos of sex workers without their knowledge or approval.

In Quebec, alcohol is sold by the SC. Clients are not allowed to bring their own booze.Major difference.

Thank you!:) i am happy to see that somebody understood my point:D

A client already asked me to slap him (his face) and i did for 7 songs..he told me there isnt a lot of stripper who accepted..its funny cuz when the doorman passed to check the booths and saw me slapping this poor man like its crazy...he just laughed, and teased me during 2 weeks with it...why should he say something? i didnt do anything wrong..and what we did we both was consentent!! And i've got the same kind of story with a man who wanted to try my skirt (on his own clothes) and buy it (well, i didnt feel like wear it anymore anyway;))..but the doorman saw it..and saw the guy leaving with my skirt..and then, the manager, the doorman AND the dj laughed at this for a month  (its like some girls sold their g-string...so why not sell a picture?). And the bar dont have to say anything about it!!!

And dont say here im encouraging with this kind of fetish when i say it!!!!

Its like during a stag on the stage...the doorman always asked us if we accepted to be taken in picture (by his camera, then he takes 2 pictures and gave it to him)...so then it isnt suppoed to be good cuz everybody is suppsed to think that they can take picture any time they want?!! No!! Cuz people arent that stupid and know to make the different between the acceptable and the prohibition

Why so many girls come in straight sc to make extra (i dont know, my reputation was about YMMV but most of the time: low mileage). Because they can choose whoever she wants to make some extra...and dont want to feel forced to do it!!

It isnt about the SC its about the girl!!! if the SC allow it..then, there will be 100-200 pictures and a lot of video of any girls without there consentement. It isnt the business of the club, as long as the girl is following the rules..THERE IS NOTHING THAT FORBIDDEN a client to take picture of a stripper in the booth if she is agree

BTW: Porter, i aint saying this to you...i know we are both agree;)

In all instance you cite above the club managemnet APPROVED of the activity or participated by taking the actual pictures.

In the US there have been clubs dating back at least 20 years where pictures could be taken, for a fee, with one of the features or dancers. For an additional fee the picture would be autographed. The photos would be taken in a designated area of the club by the photographer. The girl ALWAYS retained the right to refuse.

Only the most simpleminded (or devious) who had absolutely no real life, let alone Strip Club, experience, would even hint at banning cell phones from SCs... no one, not even idiotnonsavants, would even hint at the suggestion that cellphones not be allowed in SCs... like, what fool would ever leave his cell phone with some Neantheral bouncer who might check out the wealth of personal information on the cell phone or drop it in the toilet while he was unplugging it?!!!!!So what's the fastest route to bankrupting for a strip club??? Insisting that you not bring your cell phone into the club or insisting that you leave your phone with some idiot bouncer....

Geez... what are you a Trustee in Bankruptcy trying to stir up a liittle business?

Pathetic...

Oh, almost forgot.... don't forget to erect some "straw man" and attack it.... and #2... don't forget to tell us about your wealth of experience living of the avails of strippers...

yawn...

No club could ever ban cell phones. They already have posters that state that taking pictures of any kind is forbidden. Theaters and restaurants in the US have tried to use cell phone jammers and have been prevented from doing so by the authorities. I doubt that a strip club could find a justifiable reason to ban cell phones on their premises without losing all their customers in the process. It's the bouncers job to make sure that no one in the club is taking pictures.

If bars and clubs can't force clients to check their car keys at the door to prevent drunk driving, the chance of them forcing people to check their cell phones is slim and none.

As far as I am aware, there is no technology that exists that could prevent a photograph being taken by a digital device. While jamming technology exists to prevent a cell phone from making or receiving calls, there is no way to prevent taking a picture with one.
