Of course.. You can get 3.5 star hotels for about 50 dollars on Priceline bidding and 4 star hotels for 70$ Last time I got the Hyatt and before that the Intercontinental. You can check out www.biddingfortravel.com to get more info on how to bid.

Hope this helps!

For a full night stay

Is there still such a thing?

I`ve never spent over $100/night for a 4* when using Priceline. As a matter of fact, I got the Omni last month for $62, and the Sheraton Centre before that for $65.

There is a thread on Hotel Bidding which is quite active and informative.

Priceline deals are good, but don't forget that on top of the cheap price people like to brag about, there is a service charge and conversion to US dollars.

How do you always get a suite? Or what kind of strategy can you use to try and get a suite? I've never gotten one thru hotwire or priceline, not sure if Im missing something.

THanks

Is there places where you can book a room under $100 without bidding?

The summer season is now here, and the Jazzfest will be here in just over a month. Hotel rates will start to climb very soon if they haven't already. I got the Hyatt for $42 a few months ago, and the Omni for $ 62 last month. I doubt i'll see these prices anytime soon since we'll soon be in full swing of the tourist season.

I reserved at econolodge for 80$ with taxes... Its 10$ than the usual 70$ i pay(im use to small 2 star motel) in quebec city when i go there for metal fest(capitale du metal :) but its still ok. I would never pay more than 100$ a room, exept if i was on vacation and the hotel was the main atraction, but renting a motel for an sp... all you need is a bed and a shower...
