Moi je poste beaucoup de reviews depuis mes débuts sur les boards mais je ne sais pas si je vais continuer à reviewer autant à l'avenir.

I agree it seems theres less reviews and more reading and asking questions.Lets all contribute to keep the boards interesting and going.

OH so true :(

I posted a few reviews, but only do it when i try a new provider or i have something new to say.
To post repeatedly about one provider will raise doubt, and i can already hear the shillbusters starting something, and i don't want to be in this situation.

I do beleive it is not inviting with all the argue about shilling that some have the habit to spend their days on. We also see Mods poping on these all the time lately asking to let them do their jobs.

But, about the repeating what have already been said. I can tell you that while this is what you are thinking, many time clients are going to say:

'' Yeah her reviews are good, but no one did re-established them for weeks. I am hesitant since there is no more new comments ... ''

I am telling to myself then, wow, imagine if the first review is totally and completely detailed. Does that mean we are all done then ?

Should the girls then wish to have an un-experimented reviewer that ain't gonna do a detailed review so that chit chat can go on for days before being able to stir the informations like we see so often ? How many time 1 review pops out and then there is 2-3 pages of bla bla bla ?

What to do, what to wish ?

I don't review in a number of cases : 1) girls with a long thread where everything has been said already (though I really should because it is always reassuring to see RECENT good reviews), 2) repeats... I repeat quite a bit and as stated, repeated good reviews (of, say, Alexa for example) would probably just undermine the credibility of the first review, 3) I also must admit that I don't post bad reviews in general. I feel to shitty posting a bad review, esp if it is related to a girls looks more than her performance.

The sad thing on MERB lately I think is that the long-time members I think are reviewing less, it's hard not to feel that this is done to keep the best girls secret. So when you don't see a review on a new girl for a few weeks, you almost start to suspect it is a good sign. A girl with a "bad attitude" normally is reviewed very quickly.

I can only agreed with this. Before, no news meant no good*, now we are all confuse ...

* Or the lady didn't met a reviewer yet.

Or maybe they now feel like saying "what's in it for us?" Or, they heard that their reviews have led a few psychos/assholes/sexual deviants to see some of their favorite girls. Or, maybe they just got tired of writing reviews. Or, maybe they just got tired of seeing their reviews lost among a sea of b.s. reviews written by shills. Or, maybe they'd rather wait to feel inspired about writing a quality review than posting a shitty one. Who knows, there are probably half a dozen different reasons a single person could come up with.

Pretty well only that

Seeing the debate quality on many of the other issues here, I have decided to pretty well confine myself to the core mission of the boards, and write reviews.

Opps, I guess that means I should get outta here ;).

Have fun, that's what it's for.

Hello MM,

I'm not sure how much ground you are trying to cover here. Maybe you are referring to the last year or so. But for some of us your numbers are extremely inadequate. Since I have been a hobbyist I have posted close to 40 full long reviews often multiple pages in length or provided short additions to other member's reviews. And, I am sure others who get to Montreal much more often have posted far more reviews than I. So it would have been more informative to ask this question in a way that makes it more current. Some of us have been around a long time and are way beyond your numbers.

A lot of these are my reasons for reviewing less too. I have cut down greatly on the number of ladies I see and the number of hours I average with each. I generally stick to ladies I have met and really clique with. Also, I have had to draw back from Impulses to automatically accept spending $450 for 2 hours because I can no longer afford the cost of indulging freely with these ladies no matter how great they are.

But, I have never been one to just "keep a good thing to myself". Since I don't get to Montreal much it doesn't make much sense for me to hold back when I cannot see them except rarely. I can understand how those who want to see someone often might do that but, then again, holding back can be kind of like acting as if she's your girlfriend. If that has anything to do with it then you are putting yourself in a very vulnerable position.

Good luck,

Merlot

I have said this before in an other post some time ago, I had somewhat predicted the outcome of the departure of the older most well known reviewers. When you have constant shilling acusations of new members trying to make their first review, you are reducing the the quality and quantitiy of the future. I had said once, that when all the great reviewrs had finally retired there would be no one left to take up the tourch, because all the ones (new members) that could have been good contributors will have been runned off.

The poll button is right below the start thread box. Make a poll so that you can tell the world of your prodigious adventures in whoreland. Make it planet wide & multiracial if you want.

I'm refering to MERB and the incall & outcall review sections.

50% of the poll responders said they revieiwed often
80% said that they reviewed three or more times.
About twenty people responded.

This is no way represents the posters in the lounge and in the 411 section. It doesn't represent the posters in the review sections,

Hmmmm,

Now don`t you think pay for review or at least disclose renumeration would be a lot more honest than some of the stuff posted. There are many kinds of renumeration as we`ve recently witnessed.

I love this. We (clients) use reviews to pressure the agency over the years, and therefor the ladies, into making more and more services standard fare from the point where GFE was almost unknown to where many almost have to act like real pornstars providing TCCIMWS and Greek (and God knows what else) and now we get them to pay us for the reviews too. That`s beautiful! DAMN...can you say...``sex slave``...LOL:rolleyes:

But if the ladies will pay I have a full account of the time I put into my reviews...and there`s also an added rate per word for my two or three pages per review. That will make ``5Gs`` look like chicken feed.

Cheers,

Merlot

>>> EDITED BY MOD 11: part refering to 10-19`s posts removed. 10-19 asked for his handle to be remove and his request was granted. That removed all his posts but not quotes. The entire thread is now being edited and 10-19 references will be removed since he can`t discuss his point of view anymore. <<<

When I first read this thread the thoughts that ran through my head probably would run on to ten pages or more if written out; I don’t have that kind of time now.

I have been in the hobby just over 10 years seeing maybe 110 different women and 220 or so bookings/sessions. (Yes, about a half sessions have been repeats and half new.) I used to review them ALL in the early days (going back to Lyla’s List and Canbest). I rarely do public reviews these days -- just a few a year. There are lots and lots of reasons. But the biggest disincentive is the prevailing notion that reviews should follow some kind of prescribed form: that they should contain certain information in a certain form and if they don’t, others posters will see it as a sort of offence. Rather it should be the opposite: Reviewers write what they want the way they want; they put in what they want and leave out what they want to leave out. Of course, there can be respectful follow up questions, but never with the underlying presupposition that anyone has a right to “demand” the missing information. Writers write their reviews and readers can use it as they see fit.

Of course there are other issues…

Hello everyone,

Let's get back on topic and drop the off topic garbage posts. If this continues the posters responsible will be getting the rest of the week off.

reviews

I get to town very rarely. Ive only been to Montreal maybe 4-5 times in the last 2 years. Ive posted some reviews, some really epic in scale, some just so-so. I like to do my part to contribute but if things were just average I may not post as I dont want to sound negative when it was just average.

My reviews have been eaither really positive and I had two very bad ones and I detailed them. I seemd to get alot of shit from others who disagreed with me and even the owners of the agencies take there shots if you give a negative review. So this kinda make one gun shy to post.

I guess it means more to me as I only get there on special occasions. When I make a booking I have high expectations b/c my trips are limited, i really need it to be special.

More solid reviews help make a good trip. But I find also sometimes girls will get positive reviews, when they really are not on their A game. The expect they can coast the session. I wish they new ahead of time who they were going to see and what the ezxpectation was. That if they were tired or didnt really want to have an adventure that they would just stay home and go to the bar.

My best to you guys. You locals please keep updating your favorites as it matters when an intermittent hobbyist comes to town. And I cant help myslef I usually book 2 hours, Im that optimistic.

My best to all of you.

Reading some of the comments posted above has made me wonder what would be so wrong if some of the more credible veterans would get renumerated for posting reviews. I mean, we all know that movie critics such as Roger Ebert & Leonard Maltin, among many others, get paid quite well for writing movie reviews. They probably even get in free at the movies they review. Quite often, people (like me) will decide whether or not we'll go see those movies depending on the reviews we've read. Positive movie reviews by credible movie critics can often bring in millions of $$ for a certain movie. The producers get rich, the film studio gets richer, and everyone involved with the movie is happy.

When it comes to the escort business, the reviewers are not receiving anything, and if they do, it's kept under wraps. How dare they? Meanwhile, the more positive the reviews, the more popular the new girls become, meaning more money for the girls & especially for their 'agencies'. Everyone is getting richer, except for the poor sap who shelled out hundreds of $$$ and then since he's a nice fellow, he writes a glowing review, sometimes it's his own choice, other times it's encouraged by the sp(s) and the agencies.

Am i missing something?
