...Made In Tailand....gee it's comforting to know that the condom I just used was made in an underdeveloped country with who knows what type of standards they have.

I would not worry about it. The vast majority of the worlds rubber comes from that part of the world. Condoms must meet strict standards before they can be sold in Canada.

If only I knew...
As long as you don't notice latex patches peeling out when you remove-it! :p

Or they could be made here with "recycled materials": wash, roll, wrap and ready!

Or worst! It could be made in Sweden by Ikea! Talk about a mood breaker: "Wait! I have to screw the condom parts together first!" ;):D

Did you ever check to see if other well known condom brands come from Thailand as well.

What is the country that makes a certain product has to do with the quality? Really. And as a matter of fact, THAILAND is splelled with an ''H''. Usually those who live in underdeveloped countries, have literacy problems... What country did you say you we're from by the way? LoL

Lifestyles most likely has a manufacturing plant somewhere in South East Asia as well as other parts of the world. Reason is that part of the world is the leading producer of natural latex rubber.

From the Lifestyles site
LifeStyles Brand Condoms undergo a battery of rigorous quality control tests at every point of our manufacturing process to ensure our condoms meet worldwide requirements.

To test for holes, for example, our condoms undergo a strenuous water test. It's here we fill the condom until it holds 300 ml of water to see if holes are present. This ensures that our condoms provide effective barrier protection.

To determine condom strength, LifeStyles Brand Condoms undergo an Air Inflation Test as well. We inflate samples with air until they're blown up to three feet high and one foot wide. More samples are tested for tensile strength and elongation.

But the tests don't stop there! Our patented Automatic Electronic Testing process checks for possible microscopic holes in our condoms one more time before they are packaged, for an additional measure of quality assurance. All of this testing assures you the highest quality product, guaranteeing the type of reliability you can count on! LifeStyles Brand Condoms are manufactured to meet these standards throughout the world. ASTM 3492
ISO 4074
EN 600

Even Peter North can't come 300 ml worth.

That should come as no surprise. Most of the world's manufacturing is in Asia. Thailand is not really an underdeveloped country by many measures. People there may be underpaid but it is a very modern country from an industrial point of view.

Yep just wikit and you'll get :

Official status for Thailand is a 'Newly Industrialized Country'.
It had the world's highest growth rate from 1985 to 1996 – averaging 9.4% annually

Substantial industries include electric appliances, components, computer parts and yes automobiles...

Thailand exports an increasing value of over $105 billion worth of goods and services annually.

There are many things that we consume in North America that can no longer be manufactured here due to high cost. Probably you are paying a quarter to a third of the price for condom made overseas as compared to a condom made here.
