Police becoming ticket machines for drivers.
Italian Mafia contracts.
Parcometres rising everyday
Home Taxes rising everyday.
Hefty Salaries for public officials, including generous expense accounts for going to Mt.Tremblant.
Roads that are shitty.
Services being reduced everyday.
Private parking lots becoming more expensive due to a daily tax.
Police becoming ticket machines for pedestrians, bikers, and shoppers (IE if you leave your door unlocked in a mall you get a 50$ tickets) etc. etc. etc.

You know there is a saying you get the government you deserve, we did not send a message to Mr.Tremblay and his a holes, now he thinks he can rape the city. Will this BS ever stop, or is Ontario becomming more attractive.

In a previous thread I had announced my intentions of running for Montreal's Dog Catcher. Greatly disappointed by a lack of support. :(

He could have just provided an supporting argument/opinion or a contradictory argument, instead of suggesting I move. For example he could have defended the city, by saying I think TRemb;lay is doing a good job and teh city is fine.

Shut up you troll. This is a serious discussion.
whoa, you sound so full of angst, ready to "go postal." btw, my answer is very serious.

who is to say i don't agree with you?

i don't involve myself w/ politics. i don't know who is who when it comes to whoever runs the city/province/country. a lot of stuff is fucked up in montreal, but not enough for me to take a life-and-death-i-am-a-victim attitude about it. you have it so easy here in montreal. either you take it for granted or you have no idea what the rest of the world is like... or both. i have lived in far worse places under far worse conditions. what did i do? what ever it took to get the fuck outta there.

when it comes to citys/provinces/countries, changes occur very slowly. decide for yourself how much time & energy you want to put into making the changes you want. then decide for yourself what you want out of life. then decide how you're going to get there.

if you don't like how your life is going, change it.
if you don't like your surroundings, become an activist for change, or move.

telling me to "Shut up you troll" changes nothing. all it did was make me laugh. i mean, seriously now, how is whining about the state of the city on merb going to help your cause?

Given today's budget, (if any of you have been paying attention), I ask is Montreal still the teh cheapest place to live in Canada consider education and dwelling as well.

Thanks.

PS: I don't think Quebecers need to pay more for service, I base my argument on the fact that is you have enough money to renovate the casino (built on tax $) @ a cost of 300 MILLION , and you can pay big bonuses to government heads , you have no excuse to ask for any more money.
