Two men from the Lachine borough are alleged to have manipulated at least two minors to work for them as prostitutes.
An investigation, conducted by the Montreal police child sexual exploitation unit, came to light yesterday after a Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for Myles Tynes, 35.
According to court records, Tynes resided in Lachine as recently as September.
The warrant was issued two days after another Lachine man, Austin Wilson, 23, appeared in a Montreal courtroom, where he was charged with six counts of living on the avails of prostitution involving minors: two 17-year-old girls.
An indictment filed in Wilsonís case, which is related to Tynesís, alleges the crimes took place between Nov. 15 and last week.
The charge carries a maximum prison sentence of 14 years and a minimum sentence of two years, on conviction.
Wilson appeared in court Tuesday and was released from custody after agreeing to follow a series of conditions and to make a $1,000 deposit as bail.
According to Montreal police, Tynes is also expected to be charged with living on the avails of prostitution involving a minor if he is located. He is also known to have ties to the Toronto area.
Tynes is known to drive a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier with the licence plate 997 ZHR or a 2006 Pontiac Pursuit with the licence plate 833 VFG.
He is 6-foot-1, weighs 180 pounds and has a birthmark on the bridge of his nose. He also has several tattoos on various parts of his body, including his arms and neck.
Anyone with information on Tynesís whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact Montreal police through the InfoCrime line at 514-393-1133. Information can be provided anonymously.
