    Kings assistant coach Hardy arrested...

    From cbc.ca...
"Prosecutors in Washington are planning to raise a sexual abuse charge against former NHL defenceman Mark Hardy to a felony.
Police arrested the Los Angeles Kings assistant coach on a charge of misdemeanour sex abuse involving a woman in her 20s on Thursday."

While that by itself is bad enough, according to TMZ, the woman involved is his daughter!

A former L.A. Kings hockey player-turned-assistant coach was arrested this morning in Washington D.C. for allegedly sexually abusing a 21-year-old woman -- his own daughter.

Here's the direct link through TMZ instead of scrolling to find it. Very bad!

LOL!!!! Mark Hardy famous??? 99% of people wouldn't know who Mark Hardy is if he came out of their butts!

He was a marginal NHL defenceman whom i remember playing for the Kings & Rangers.

Innocent until proven guilty. On top of that, he didn't even fuck her (like John Phillips regulary did with his daughter Mackenzie). I'm not saying it's okay, it ain't....but the truth might eventually prove that the matter was blown totally out of proportion. I'll reserve judgement until i hear the entire story.

By the way, i was looking at his picture & he has an uncanny resemblance to someone i know quite well. *wink*

I see you know this unknown.

Doesn't the mere fact of the news agencies going with the story ensure that he is/will be famous?

    Nonetheless...

Good point. You should write TMZ and tell them they incorrectly tagged the article under "celebrity" and ask them why they have changed their practice and are now talking about unknowns.

    Cheers.

I have. I've yet to receive a reply.

(I guess it was a slow news day)

Puts me in mind of Bob Newhart as captain of the submarine returning from the longest underwater voyage - I loved the skit:

NEWHART: Our voyage has received a lot of coverage in the newspaper, and I'd like to present our side of it. I think our firing on Miami Beach can best be termed ill-timed.

It happened on what they call in the newspaper business a slow news day and, as a result, received a lot more space than I think it -- I think it deserved, since it was the off season down there.
