I've heard of such a service in Miami, and I think I saw them in an episode of CSI They probably do exist.

The whole concept seems illogical to me.

Obviously, you must give them your real name (when your wife/friends/boss calls, they are asking for you by name). So now you have this trail of evidence of your activities: SP agency, alibi agency, credit card company with a charge for the alibi agency, alibi agency guy who answers the phone, ...

Well technically, if you can trust your regular agency, then you should be able to trust an agency that sells you alibis too (but not to break the law though). Anyways, I don't want to advertise for them, but think of it this way. You're rich and you have a wife with a temper, probably enough of a temper to sue you and slap you with a heavy divorce . Option a) call forwarded to Alibi service... wife calls: "can I speak with my husband", Alibi: "I'm sorry miss Jones, but your husband is presently in a conference call with... make up excuse already set up with client", wife: "oh that's ok, I'll call later then..." While in the mean time, rick old husband is having fun with one of our favorites from Merb Catch the drift. Option 2: calls not forwarded: wife calls, husband answers. "Yes honey, I'm kind'of busy now" Wife: "What's that sound I'm hearing..." Husband "It's nothing honey, just the radio." Wife: "F*** U, you'll hear from my lawyer!" Etc.. etc..

Good point... An Alibi service should associate itself with a known Escort Agency. If the Agency offer an Alibi service for an additional fee, then they're in business.

Think of the liability if an alibi service is involved in some criminal activity.

Don't worry ! they know the law by heart.
Like in the case of many security agencies, they have people who worked both side of the fence.

If you deal with them; they'll know right away if they can work underground with you or go legit; which in turn should mean 100% non-liability.
Usually your file will be sent abroad (in a safe place) so that you can't blackmail them in return.

The commercial part of their business should be basically a front.
The vast majority of their cash business is done 'underground' with bigger fish.

My guess is : you can deal with them for small stuff (your personal life) unless you are well known and part of a (huge-underground or gov.) organization.
If you deal 'underground', nothing can be used in court and they will not be any 'paperwork'.
Cash-only is what they usually take in that situation.

If I were you (if you want to use this kind of service), I would use the third party rule.
