I would like to know if someone knows of a bulk fax application for a small home office usage for a PC, that is not MAC.

Thanks,

Yes, but it was my understanding that we're not allowed to discuss technology. If so, I'll be glad to give you some info. I'm not going into the MAC vs. PC fight though.

I saw a post of Mod 8's wherein he mandated a cooling off period until 7/1/10. I didn't feel like looking to see if he extended it or not. So I just decided to assume until someone posted a technology thread, I would abstain. How about it Mods, are we allowed to talk tech??

As long as the thread remains respectful and people do not start posting insults and attacking the opinions of other posters, I will not object. If I see any flame posts or insults, the poster will be receiving a month off from posting.

Here's the issue. What you and Mod 11 consider a flame war and what I consider one could be different. Mod 11 recently threatened bans on everyone when someone was flaming me and I was peacefully & respectfully answering their attacks. Spirited discussions are expected on this board, thus when a person gets "challenged" they should respond politely & calmly with a resonable defense. If that "challenger" continues to stretch the limits of decorum and we BOTH get warrned, this discourages my attempts to answer "challenges" in a calm manner. How would you suggest posters handle such an occurance??

On the informational side of things: We use GFI Faxmaker which you should be able to get via internet in combination with a Brooktrout Fax Board. Pay special attention to setting it up and make sure you adjust the timeout settings to your particular location. It comes with an Outlook Client Interface that is quite effective and we've been able to rig it with an archive for additional security.

P.S. Many local municipalites are dumping their old computers and upgrading. We've been able to purchase two Dell Optiplex GX270's Intel P4 2.8s with upgraded digital cards & memory for a total delivered cost of $20.96 per unit. They do happen to have those Windows XP Sticker Keys right on the side in case you really wanted an extra clean machine, you would need to take these off. Bios is password protected, but that's an easy issue.

Hello CS,

I have no objections with a poster defending himself or his position. When such an exchange begins to take over a thread, leading it off topic. or extends beyond a couple of posts, that is what I consider a flame war and that is when we will step in to stop it. Members should contact a moderator before it reaches that point instead of getting into a heated exchange which may lead to insults being thrown around and may result in both posters being suspended.

Hello Robert,

Getting back to the subject of this thread...

What exactly are you looking for? Is it the automated software to which you feed a bunch of fax numbers and it then sends publicity to those numbers?
