Who and why are people making all that mispelled sexual spam? They seem to come when one pays for on-line porn.
Is is some ploy to potentially embarrass the email afddress owner? They also seem to sometimes get a hold of the name. How are they getting this info?

I am just asking the forum members about the avalanche of spam I got when I paid for some online porn. Maybe some guys here have some insight.

I have noticed in the past an increase in the number of spam after subscribing to some of these web sites. I usually keep flagging those messages as junk and after a week or so I stop seeing them in my inbox. Also, these web sites seem to keep the email addresses of former clients for very long periods of time. It happens to me to get offers from web sites I subscribed to more than 5 years ago, though this is rather a rare phenomenon. At the end, who really needs to pay for porn web sites anymore?

HFE.

Some spam filters look for words. Misspellings are an attempt to get around the filters.

Certainly, some unscrupulous porn merchants will sell the address you use to pay for porn. Which is why you should set one up that you use only for porn, or posting here, or whatever. Gmail, Hotmail & Yahoo all give them away for free, and there is nothing stopping you from having several such addresses.

Your name is often associated with your email address in address books, your own, or that of your friends. obviously, you also associate the name with an email address when you pay for porn. In any event, in the case of address books, many viruses steal their contents, with the hopes of sending spam that looks real - say, from you to a friend with a 'click this link' action, which is generally linked to a drive-by infection site, to promote the virus (zombie) more.
