The issue doesn't have anything to do with the way the block think. It's only a question of ONE guy who can't make a difference between past, present and future. These guys who went to war, (WW1, WW2, Vietnam, Korea, Bosnia, Afghanistan and all others) wether we agreed they should have been sent or not, they did made a difference. At some point, some of our freedom still depends on the action they did and we MUST respect that, no matter if we are separatists, pro-Canada or if we want to join the USA. What they did affected the past, still affect our present and will affect our future. The separatist-federalist political fight have no reason to be mixed with that and one guy made the mistake to mix them up and he now look like a fool. Quebeckers did go to war so the Quebec flag have it's place but he should not have refused to give out Canadian flags.
If Quebec becomes independant one day, Quebeckers will still owe the same respect to these peoples and should still commemorate them on Nov.11 of every year. Even then, Canadian flags should still be distributed in QUebec for that occasion, with Quebec flags, American flags, British, French... All these nation allied against Germany for WW1 and 2 after all!
