CHICAGO - Four hundred rabbis will publish a letter Thursday calling on Fox News to sanction host Glenn Beck for repeated use of Nazi and Holocaust imagery and for airing attacks on World War Two survivor George Soros.

In an open letter to Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of News Corp, which owns Fox, the rabbis also demand an apology from Fox News chief Roger Ailes for characterizing Beck's Jewish critics as nothing more than "left-wing rabbis."

The letter will appear as an advertisement in the News Corp-owned Wall Street Journal Thursday for which the rabbis spent more than $100,000, a spokesman said.

"We haven't seen the ad," said Joel Cheatwood, Fox News senior vice president of development, "but this group is a George Soros backed left-wing political organization that has been trying to engage Glenn Beck primarily for publicity purposes."

In the letter, the rabbis cited "unacceptable attacks" by Beck against Soros, a billionaire financier who grew up in Nazi-occupied Hungary and is a frequent target of conservative commentators.

"And George Soros used to go around with this anti-Semite and deliver papers to the Jews and confiscate their property and then ship them off," Beck said in November.

"Here's a Jewish boy helping send the Jews to the death camps. And I am certainly not saying that George Soros enjoyed that, even had a choice. I mean, he's 14 years old. He was surviving. So I'm not making a judgment. That's between him and God."

Beck, according to the rabbis, has made "literally hundreds of on-air references to the Holocaust and Nazis when characterizing people with whom he disagrees," compares American leaders he does not like to Nazis and has said putting the "common good" first leads to "death camps."

"In the charged political climate in the current civic debate, much is tolerated, and much is ignored or dismissed," the letter said.

"But you diminish the memory and meaning of the Holocaust when you use it to discredit any individual or organization you disagree with. That is what Fox News has done in recent weeks, and it is not only 'left-wing rabbis' who think so."

And, incredibly, legions of people still think of Beck as a legitimate news reporter. What a world.

Have long wondered why so many people like him. He panders to the crowd that runs on negative emotion and not reason. To me, he is similar to Sarah Palin, but he is much weaker. (Except for a hot MILF, Sarah is not my style, but have to say her "WTF" comments on baracks speech were funny.) Beck reminds me of the kid in school that never got accepted and finally has his chance to be liked.

The liberal guy Oberman left his network, but he operated like Beck. Play tough guy in front of the camera, challenge people that ignore you and rally people that have no other outlet.

Beck, Oberman and all the others have no backbone. When faced with a challenge they crumble. Oberman just quits and Beck finds another target. Problem is, they both generate lots of dollars (for them and their network). Obermans network (MSNBC) saw he was becoming less important. Fox will soon see fewer people taking the time to mention Beck. Once that happens, he will pretend he is pissed at Fox and quit (to avoid being fired). It is a waiting game before he quits to avoid being fired.

Man, i feel so sorry for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, having to put up with those brainwashed old bags everyday. They must be paying her a small fortune to be there. She certainly is a "Survivor" :)

Beck himself denies he's a reporter. He claims he's simply a commentator. Personally, i refer to him as a "lying-sack-of-shit". :D

Watch him clam up on The View after being confronted about his blatant lies:

Sorry for her? She'd be a nobody if it wasn't for that show. She's a dumbass blonde bimbo who looks ridiculous everytime she opens her mouth & it's obvious all she does at home is take notes while she watches FOX NOISE on the tube instead of being the good wife & cook dinner for her family & then take care of her lousy football player husband in the sack.

I could start a whole thread named the "Elizabeth Hasselbeck Stupid Comment-of-the-Day" and i'd probably be able to post at least 5 You Tube clips per day.

I used to love staring at her ass on Survivor: The Australian Outback. But she's so annoyingly ridiculous on that tv show. However, i'll admit that whatever gibberish that comes out of her mouth makes the show funny & actually interesting to watch at times. Joy Behar & Barbara Walters are okay, but the two black girls (Woopie & Shephard) at times say as many stupid things as Liz says.

I miss Rosie O'Donnell....she was great for that show. Not the prettiest to watch, but she made sense & spoke her mind.

As for Liz, she's actually more stupid than Sarah Palin, which is almost impossible to believe!

LOL!!!! I actually believe Rosie's a NY Rangers fan. I saw her at a game once.

Back to Palin: did anyone understand her gibberish about the WTF thing? She has to be the most misinformed person in politics! She's almost as bad as that nutcase Michelle Bachmann, recently described as a poor man's Sarah Palin! Ouch!!!! LOL!!!!!!

By the way, ever notice those Tea Party members (now just a handful of them, it seems) when they talk? They talk so slow it almost sounds like they're talking to a bunch of kids in kindergarten! LOL!!!! Of course, most of their followers are a bunch of uneducated ignorant dumbass idiots, so no wonder........lol

Gotta love old bag Sarah, though.........she makes American politics incredibly fun to watch at times......even though she can be so damn irritating! :D

I've heard enough of Glen Beck to know he will make me puke. The same goes for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and nearly all radio talk shows, talk tv shows (View, etc.) and anyone who tries to tell me how to think. I tend to steer clear of political based programming. I watch the news, form my opinions, stick in the earbuds, and crank up the music. However, I like this Sarah Palin.:D

Couldn't agree more!! I have one price for doing my normal work and another that includes getting abused by the client. It's a lot easier to be constantly abused when you know you're getting stupid money to do it.........LOL.........You just snicker to yourself, "Yea, but you're paying me double to sit here and be abused".

Unfortunately, Doc, there's not enough room on the Internet for all her dumb comments. What a fucking moron.
