Dear Mod 11,

Regards my post #2, I intended to quote the shijak. I have been using the reply with quote much less since EB's comment. But if you want to lay out parameters to further "manage" my judgment, please let me know.......LOL

P.S. Thanks for proving my point....

Signed,
A Former Micro-Manager

CS Martin, of all people I never thought we would be in agreement on this...life's funny sometimes.

Pretty much what I've been saying for the last few years. I predicted it on the doggie board, then I predicted it here. As you can see by my profile line, "I'm over it........". No, I WILL NOT promise to write an expose!!

I will promise to write reviews here in the future, if a Moderator will give me more specific instructions and parameters for the reviews. Maybe I can just send videos and they can write them for me. Only problem with that is I'm on the NRP list....LOL

i particularly love this line in your post "Don't ask me to be specific, name names, or any such BS,". Of course we will not ask for such information as you are quite obviously unable to provide such. This is a very familiar tactic, used quite commonly on merc by various members,, primarily Tony, to give the impression of knowledge where none exists. Of all the people to have made such claims in the past, not one has ever come forth with any information. That should speak very loudly to members who are tempted to believe such claims.

Dear Mod 8,

I'll be glad to furnish you with proof via B/C, if you promise a public appolgy in this thread. I'll be waiting for your response. Put your money where your mouth is.....

P.S. I would need your assurance of confidentiality. Going home now, but I'll check this board in a few hours.

Hello CS,

There is no reason to quote a post directly above your own when it is as long as Shijak's post was. You could just as easily quoted the post, retaining the first few lines and the last few lines and editing out the rest. Forcing members to scroll down such a long quote is considered poor board manners and serves no purpose but to clutter the board.

Mod 8 buddy,

It's very often that a poster goes back and changes a post or deletes something. I quote to let others see exactly what I'm posting about and what issues I'm addressing. If being accurate, clear and concise (as urged and directed by both you and Mod 11) is rude then maybe you and Mod 11 should be the only posters here....but we're not allowed to use the "C" word here.

If your information is so important and damaging, please feel free to post it here on the board so that everyone can benefit from it. We do not deal in back channel rumors.

Moderators are able to see every version of a post, no matter how many times it has been edited. If anyone modifies a post to attempt to cover his ass, we are able to confirm what the original was and to restore it if required. There is no problem in quoting exactly the portion of a post that is pertinent to your reply or an entire short post as I have done here. Quoting an extremely long post immediately after it was made only causes board clutter which we do receive many complaints about as a matter of fact.

If it's allowable that I post text of an e-mail without names I'll be glad to do so. Your call. BTW, I never said it was damaging. I just said an offer of B/C information and access had been made. Here's my exact quote, " Don't ask me to be specific, name names, or any such BS, but over the years I've been approached a few times about such secret groups, and even some not so secret groups."

Prepared for me to bring it on. Just say OK and I'll post it.

Ok, I'll take that to heart and attempt to comply. Now about that apology, are we in agreement? I'm not interested in posting the information without a promise of a public apology. A very simple request....or would it just be easier to ban me. Yes, that would kill the truth.

Emails are not considered proof. There is no way to verify who sent them or if the information contained within is valid. Anyone can create a G-Mail, Hotmail or other email address. We are very much aware that there are private little groups of people who share information strictly between themselves. This is no great revelation. This has always been going on, since before the boards existed, and will continue after the boards have closed down. Honestly, we have no use for such people here in any case. The boards are about sharing information, not hoarding it for a select few.

Sir,

I would have to check to verify, but if I remember the e-mail comes from a VERY WELL know addy. I've offered to forward the e-mail to you privately (you can check to coding to verify) and post the text (without names publicly). May I suggest you're running out of excuses. So the only thing I need is your assurance of confidentiality and an apology to move forward. I don't think I can produce a notarized affidavit from the poster though. Should I get one next time?

You are offering to prove the existence of something I have already conceded exists. What is your point?

My point is you've challenged my credibility by posting absolute BS and implying I'm making unsubstantiated claims as follows:

You owe me an apology. Now try and be a gentleman or lady (or both if you're confused) about it.

CSM

P.S. You can always just ban me. But that would really prove my point.

Yes, CS, it seems I may owe you an apology. From the tone of your post I thought you were on one of your typical rants about how the advertisers control everything here. If all you were talking about was private cliques sharing info, I apologize.

Unfortunately, even your apologies are rife with insults. Sorry, no gentleman or lady label for you. Talk about needing instructions on manners.......

Considering you are the member who is possibly the most prevalent user of double entendre and snide remarks in your posts, I felt it was suitable.

I'm good with that, so you fit your behavior to to that of the poster rather than seek to set a credible example for others.....That works for me. As the hole gets deeper......

So what are you going to ban me for? For making a polite & credible arguments or just for being "a general pain in the ass" (a la Tom)?

Why would I ban you? Everyone needs a kick in the ass from time to time. Even the mods. You keep me on my toes. And who else could provide such comic relief by always trying to martyr themselves?

Besides...you try staying serious when you have to ban Tony a dozen times a week and read all the crap he posts before deleting it. :)

So while trying to obtain pitty by martyring yourself on the Cross of Tony, you accuse me of trying to martyr myself? Keep digging because I'm laughing my ass off over this. Talk about comic relief.........Tip: Mangement has less to do with rules and more to do with respect. A person is a dictator with just rules, with respect you govern.

I think we're beginning to see China here.....Quick, someone hand me a pick so I can hammer away at this dead skull bone!!

Do you wish me to go back and find all the posts where you include challenges to the mods to ban you? You do it so frequently that it should be part of your signature.

Now it is time to let this drop and allow the thread to get back on topic, not everything on the boards centers around you. If you wish to continue this little banter, do it by PM. Or you could always start a thread about how the mods are always picking on you.

Rather........ space.

My point exactly in more detailed terms....!!!! P.S. Original quote edited, since I did nothing but agree. If I have a decenting or alternate opinion, I need to quote to preserve the evidence. Also, I sometimes wish only to publicly address one poster without others accusing me of addressing their points. I.E. see my signature.
