Trying to have a nice afternoon drive from Ste-Anne-de Bellevue to Montreal along the Lakeshore I fell in a radar trap in Baie D'urfe. Clocked at 52 km /h in a 30 km/h aera. Real F1 speed! While my ticket was written up, 4 others got caught within 5 minutes. So I keep going to Montreal and notice the limits keep varying from 30 to 40 to 50 km/h. I remember a time when the Lakeshore was a nice sightseeing drive along Lake St-Louis and the river. Could be nice for tourism with stops in the villages on the way. Well the WestIsland lost a tourist yesterday and anyone else I can warn. Just settle on one speed and stick to it. Exception for school zones of course

Sorry to hear about your ticket but this area you are mentioning has been known for a long time to have different speed traps.

Problem is, sometimes they go by for a while without giving any tickets until some schmock starts complaining and boom ! You have to sit tight in your car looking for the traps instead of the scenery... both nature and beautiful chicks going by.... specially in summer time :)

Speakin' of F1... come back in june to see this kinda scenery downtown !

It the spring money grab, the cops could not be bothered to get out of their warm cars in the winter.
