Time to get a new cell phone plan - what is the best deal in Montreal now?

So far the City Fido unlimited incoming and outgoing looks like it is the best deal for $35 plus $7/mo. for caller ID. Any other good deals out there?

Public is viable as a basic phone service provider Go to one of their outlets for details.

Public has a basic all you can eat unlimited plan for $15/ mo. but call ID or any extras cost more.

The old cell companies are the most expensive, the new names offer better deals. I have a unlimited plan from Public for $50 unlimited plus international long distance.

Public is the cheapest at $15/mo. unlimited. I got the basics, no call waiting, no voice mail.

Is Public a good option for a hobby phone? Can you activate the phone online using a name of your choosing, as you can with Virgin Mobile, for example, or do you need to provide a credit card with proof of name and address?

Prepaid, cash. Cash register or print-out bill. Like going to McDonald's.

You have to buy your phone, no freebies. For $15 you get a hobby phone with unlimited talk.
