28 years old! Will be interesting to find out what the cause of death was when it's made public.
Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction) English, motherfu*ker, do you speak it?

Typical Yankee fan in the Merb Sports Section!! Bwwaahh.

Yes it will be, I'm hoping that it was because of natural causes, he was one of my favorite fighters, very sad,

    Boogard Died Of Accidental Overdose

    Alcohol and Oxycodone:

Way too many people take oxycodone like it is candy. If I am not mistaken Brittany Murphy died of a similar accidental overdose. There was another recent OD like this too, can't think of who.

Alcohol mixed with any medication or chemical substance may produce a lethal cocktail if ingested. See Karen Ann Quinlan.

You might be thinking of comedian Greg Giraldo who died under similar circumstances last fall.

I have a client who is addicted to oxycodone who is currently MIA - whereabouts unknown. I told my secretary to read the obituaries in the newspaper every day because I think that sadly, that is going to be the next time we will hear any news on him.

It's a powerfully addictive painkiller and apparently Boogard, who played with chronic pain from the various injuries he sustained in fights and in games, had developed a severe addiction to it.

Still does not preclude the fact that there are major short comings with the prescription of various medications. A simple warning on the label to go along with the physicians instructions when making the prescription would contribute to safety.

3 part article in the NY TIMES , if you look on the left side of each article , there's also a video for each,
    including an interview with Bettman
