How do most MERB members feel about the never-ending public disputes between MERB and MERC, and sometimes MM?
I am curious about how most MERB members feel about the never-ending public disputes between MERB and MERC, and sometimes MM?
Here is my position:
I am a member of all three boards. I joined all three for the same reasons:
1. To read reviews of SPs and MPs, so as to maximize my hobbying experience. I have tried to contribute as much as posssible to each board, recognizing that the the value of any review board depends on the contribution of it's membership.
2. To gain access to the viewpoint of SPs and MPs and to interact online with SPs and MPs. I believe that one thing that the Montreal boards have in common, compared with escort boards in Ontario, elsewhere in Canada, and in the US, is the lack of participation of SPs and MPs. Despite this fact, incredibly, one of the three boards has in fact taken actions to stiffle the participation of providers! (not MERB BTW).
3. To share experiences and advice with fellow hobbyists. Escort review boards are one of the few places where hobbyists can share their successes and failures with each other, and provide much needed advice and assistance.
To me, each of the three boards have their own strengths and weaknesses, with regards to: respect of fellow members, friendliness, overall tone, respect and empathy towards SPs and MPs, opportunity to interact with SPs and MPs, flexiblity and responsiveness of Mods, particpation levels, frequency of reviews, etc. I could rate each of the three boards on these varous attributes, and overall. However, this is not my intention. To me, membership and affliation in one board does not exclude the other two. To me, it is not a Canadiens-Nordiques, ferderalist-independentist type divide. Therefore, the disputes between MERB/MERB/MM often seem pettty and silly to me.
I would therefore be interested in how other MERB members feel with respect to this issue.
