Unhappy Hard to find any summer job

For the majority of you already have a steady jobs with good pay but in my situation I still need to find a summer job since I am still studying. I notice this year is pretty hard to get any jobs as I applied at almost 50 positions and none of them called back. If any of you guys have the same difficulty or some advice how to get a nice job fast, don't hesitate to share here, thanks!

EDIT: wrote my title too fast and found out can't edit it anymore...

I assume you were intending to write "find" so I edited the thread title for you.

I think things have changed to where people do not take much time off in the summers, that is why there is a summer job shortage.

If you are a lady and you're at least 18 years old and have a nice body and face, you might want to consider working as an escort. And if you are a true virgin, some of the well-heeled hobbyists would have no problem paying a lot of $$$$$$$ for your very first encounter with a man. There are a lot of very reputable agencies in Montreal. I would suggest contacting Ms. Jesse, a former SP herself, of Montrel Sex City, who will take very good care of you.

If you are a male, you might consider doing volunteer work in your community and take summer courses. Most of the Merbites and other hobbyists have gone through the same when we were your age, during eonomic contractions. When the economy sucks, employers, which ever industry they are in, prefer to hire pretty ladies -- to attact customers. And they say men get preferrential treatment in the work place -- unfortunatley, they do, but that's a different controversy and another thread that do NOT belong on MERB!

Good luck. I dug ditches one entire summer during high school and had worse summer jobs throughout college. Be creative and don't give up.

I mean no disrespect at all, but how do you manage to hobby while studying? When I was a student, I remember that after paying all my bills, I barely had enough to go out with friends. And I was really working a lot.

    I hear you BLover.

I was so poor, I couldn't even afford to buy a condom. I didn't start hobbying until I started robbing.

It would not be the first time in MERB history that someone who is going to school is hobbying with their parents' or family's money. Perhaps it was money that was given with the intention of being used for other, traditional educational purposes. This type of "embezzlement" of family funds has occurred with at least one past MERB member, who admitted hobbying with his father's money which could not have been given to him for that purpose. It also could be why PF is looking for a job, because he cannot account for the expenditure of the funds and now needs to demonstrate some savings.

Regarding the question about jobs this summer, I have myself fielded some inquiries/emails/resumes by some college kids who want an internship at my firm because they are curious about the law. I have not seen anything that impressed me into wanting to hire the person, totally apart from the issue that we are not looking for such a person anyway.

Your Honorable Eager Beaver -- if you want a fellow hobbyist to practice law at your firm with you -- working in NY and hobbying in Montreal -- let me know. I've been told by a senior partner at a very prominent White Shoe firm in Manhattan that I'm too aggressive. WTF! It's Manhattan!!!!!! I can't help that I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Hey, I earned my stripes in the streets of NY and public schools -- getting my ass kicked and kicking the snot out of the school bullies.

You could always apply to become a MERB moderator. The pay is lousy, nonexistent actually, and people treat you like crap most of the time and do not appreciate you, and you really cannot put it on a resume but it does have it's advantages like...give me a moment... I will think of something...wait... just another minute...I am sure I can think of something...can someone help me out here?

Ah fuck it. Just ignore me.

You can put it on your resume if you want to become a moderator on other escort review boards and pursue a career in escort review board moderation. There are quite a few boards out there that only hire experienced moderators, and without the requisite experience, you cannot get offers from those boards.
