I'm just back from a busy few days in Montreal and often found myself cursing the fact that there's no Tapatalk plugin here.
Being able to access MERB on-the-go is vital for scheduling. Several agencies have useful information here and many post availability here before they do on their own websites. It's the only official source of service information about girls for at least one major agency which doesn't list this on their site. I tried accessing the site on my device's browser (an up-to-the minute Android device) but it just doesn't render very useably on a mobile screen. Tapatalk makes forums much easier to navigate on a phone screen and lets me participate in several forums when I'm away from a computer.
It would have given me better control over data costs, too. I use Droidwall to prevent unnecessary data access when I'm out of the country. I actually only permit Google Translate to use the cellular data connection. My preferred browser does background stuff such as syncing bookmarks, so it's disabled along with everything else. Tapatalk would have let me stay connected to MERB while incurring minimal data costs.
This could also be a boon to many of us even when not in Montreal. Accessing MERB from home is never going to get me in trouble with my wife, but that isn't true for many others. I certainly can't access MERB from work. When I was pre-booking prior to a recent trip I had to take my notebook to work and set up a wireless hotspot on my phone so I could access the site. Not only was that clumsy but it generated some unwanted questions about what I was up to.
The plugin is free to forum owners, though they do charge users for the app.
Please?
