I just got my tickets for Grand Prix this year and I was wondering if anyone could give me a general idea of what its like trying to book sp's during that weekend. Specifically I was wondering if agencies raise their rates or require pre-booking for the ladies. I would welcome anyone to share their experiences during Grand Prix, good and bad. Advise please!

Thanks, HonestAbe

Well, imho you should book ahead of time, with a reputable agenct that will honour the bookings. I heard it gets pretty busy during the GP. Have fun, the GP has always been the best activity in the whole year.

Pre-booking

I am also someone who would like to secure a date during this very busy weekend.

I won't be using the Yellow Pages now that I have discovered this awesome place known as MERB.

Once in Montreal I won't have access to a computer. Thus, I won't be able to compare reviews against a list of who is "available now"

Currently looking for a LDL agency (outcall) that can prebook.

Suggestions? Is this not possible to do?

Grand Prix is the undisputed busiest time for agencies, even more so than during the Jazz Festival, Les Francopholies, Just for Laughs, and other big events in Montreal.

I know of several reputable agencies that would have quadruple the amount of ladies working during this time than during the "normal" season.

For example, an agency that typically has like 6-8 girls working per night could easily have 17 to 20 + girls working per night. In fact, some girls have been known to just make appearances at agencies and were never heard of or from again.

So, there are two sides to the coin: 1.) you might not be able to see some of your favorites or even at the times you so desired because there will be so many other hobbyists in town

On other hand, 2.) you may be lucky and get to see some special or undiscovered gems that you would not normally be able to see as they specifically work just during this time to make some quick cash.

Hey all, just wondering: Is there much of a "lag time" that occurs after these big events? For instance, do a lot of visitors who come to Montreal for the Jazz Fest generally stay in the city for long after the Festival ends? The reason I ask is I might be visiting for the Festival and then stay a few days after. Would I have trouble booking SP's after the Festival is over?

It seems as if during the summer, these festivals follow each other immediately or just days apart. Anyhow, right after the Jazz Fest. it should be a little bit easier for agencies to keep their suggested arrival time of the ladies as the streets would be re-opened, so the traffic flows better. Plus, there are simply fewer tourists, although I'm sure some hobbyists do stick around, as I have done.

However, just remember that agencies are busier during the summer months in comparison to winter, and even the fall.
