Question Circumstances You Refused Services From Your SP And Did You Pay?

    Merbites & Hobbyists alike:

I cannot find a single consistent thread in https://merb.cc about the interesting situations in which the hobbyists refused services from SPs. Here and there, I read interesting stories from hobbyists on why and how they sent SPs packing but I do not believe we have a systematic and coherent thread on this topic. So perhaps we can pull the hobbyists’ different experiences together and see if we can establish some reasonable standards or rules of engagement between hobbyists and SPs.

Certainly SPs are welcome to express their experiences and points of view. I am sure they have a lot to say. Also I understand for SPs there are a lot of circumstances that they actually or will refuse servicing hobbyists. However, if possible, it is better to keep it as a separate topic under a separate thread and it deserves to be a separate thread.

I can think of situations hobbyists will turn or turned away SPs, such as:
    1. It is a bait and switch operation.
    2. Services are/were not delivered as advertised or promised.
    3. The hobbyist and the SP involved do/did not click.
    4. There are/were tell tale signs that the SPs have health issues, such as STDs.
    5. Unexpected events, for example, mother nature (menstruation) comes calling.
The list goes on, please feel free to add.

Also the related issue is: Did you pay them when you turned them away? Or should you? What is reasonable here?
    Again the starter list here:
    1. No donation changed hand.
    2. Absolutely no refund.
    3. Total refund (100%).
    4. More than 50% refund.
    5. 50% refund.
    6. Less than 50% refund.
    Again feel free to contribute.

There are probably a lot of individual variations based on different experiences. For example, one hobbyist may turn away the SP at the door with no compensation. But another hobbyist may be willing to pay a small premium for the SP to go away. Again, if the hobbyist is at the stage of undressing the SP with all the kissing, fondling, and caressing, then suddenly find something wrong, perhaps it is reasonable to compensate the SP to turn her away. Or perhaps if the SP does not care, the hobbyist may get away without paying anything, as I recalled in Spartacus’ Nomy case.

I am looking forward to the enthusiastic participation as a first step or attempt to the systematization and institutionalization of reasonable standards between hobbyist and SP relations. It will be great indeed if this eventually becomes a universal standard for all hobbyists and escort communities.

When I was working for agencies I was refused a couple of times. It was expected that the client would pay the driver's fee (20$ or 25$ depending on the agency) unless it was the agencies fault; EX> the girl requested was supposed to be a tall, brunette, and well I am neither tall, nor brunette. Just because it was expected, doesn't mean the client always paid.

They will forget what you said,
they will forget what you did,
but they will never forget the way you made them feel.

I think you should pay a rejection fee that equals 15% of the SP's hourly rate. This should be the industry standard.

Bait and switch should be grounds for rejection. Undisclosed menstruation is grounds for rejection. She doesn't quite meet your expectations is not grounds for rejection.

    refuse an sp

This is a very good thread..After all we are all humans with different tastes.I, personally refused 2, one was from an incall and 2nd was from an outcall. The first was because of hygene and the second, well the second, I still regret it to this day..The first , I payed her the hrly rate after 15 mins..what can I say it was xmas..and the 2nd, I gave her half of what I was suppose to pay..These girls are both rated highly on this board and I wont mention names..We as Johns(clients) also have our ymmv..trust me, when it clicks its fantastic, but if it dont click , I think with my big head, not the little one..I know a lot of you wont agree..but listen, I want the ultimate from an encounter, and I will know after the first 5 mins. if its worth it..even if the girl is a knock out ..There is so much out there, I dont waste my time and money...One Johns opinion...............
    my 2 cents..

Of all the ladies i've seen, i've only refused one. She was an older lady, described by the owner as being pleasant-looking, that was sent to me by an obscure J de MTL agency. I rejected her on the basis of her looks. I felt her looks were unacceptably bad based on the array of sp looks that i had seen in the past and had thought to be "the norm". I gave a false reason not to hurt her feelings.

Did you pay her anything? the full hour? a tip? When I refused one Sp, after 15 mins..I told her I was not feeling well and had to leave, I still paid her the full hour.I really had to get out of there.I consider that money well spent to get the hell out of there.

To tell you the truth, i would have been happy with 20 but the disgruntled agency owner insisted for 40 and so i gave 40 .

    EB:

I am all for a reasonable industry standard so hobbyists and SPs know what to expect and what to do. I am not sure whether your rejection fee can be applied across the board. For example, for bait and switch, I do not believe a lot of hobbyists will be willing to pay anything, as this is clearly the other party`s misgiving or intention to deceive.

As for not meeting hobbyists` expectations, it is a fuzzy area. Whether one should reject the SP depends on what happened. I can think of situations when a hobbyist wants , DFK, and DATY but the SP is willing to offer CBJ but no kiss and no DATY. This is obviously major disappointment to the hobbyist. Why is it not reasonable to reject the SP?

In another case, if the hobbyist wants TC or TCIM but the SP is only willing to do , perhaps it is not ground for rejection as one can argue that the hobbyist is asking the SP to take too much health risk. Imagine another situation, if the hobbyist asked before hand for the SP to dress in a certain way, such as garter belt, stockings, and certain kind of shoes but the SP forgets. The hobbyist may be disappointed but a lot of people would agree that it is not ground for rejection.

This is an interesting scenario, Big LOU, because i suspect it happens a lot and, like you say, it causes major disappointment. However, i never rejected anyone in such circumstances.

But let`s suppose that the girl advertises herself as a guaranteed gfe and the client, expecting the royal treatment, is not entitled to DFK or DATY, then i think that that constitutes grounds for either 1) the sp giving him back the money before the date even starts if she deems that because of, say, hygiene problems she can`t provide the services, or 2) the client downright refuses the girl for false advertisement if he knows he`s clean and not grossly unattractive.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Satifaction gauranteed!

Can we get a few agencies and/or indies to post their satifaction gauranteed policy?

    Satisfaction Guaranteed Policy?

    J. Peterman:

    Interesting question!

I have seen some good size and reputable agencies such as Dangerous Curves and Eleganza posting their satisfaction guarantee policies. Perhaps there are some more agencies doing that. From what I heard so far, if there are customer complaint issues, they are usually addressed or resolved one way or another. I have not seen any instances that their SPs were rejected at their initial rendezvous. So my knowledge is really limited. May be someone else can tell us more.

It is a more interesting question with regard to independents having and posting their satisfaction guarantee policies. Anyone look through the ads from the independents on the Internet or what not can tell you that it is very unusual for them to post a satisfaction guarantee policy. If they do, one may say that they are very confident in what they do. For one thing, these SPs are usually one person operations and certainly do not have the financial muscle to back up a complete satisfaction guarantee deal to all potential clients. The other thing is to post such a policy will almost certainly invite a lot of unwanted exploitations and blackmailing from unscrupulous johns. These clients can simply say they are not satisfied with the service rendered and want something extra in return. I will not be surprised to find many indies to say that a satisfaction guarantee policy is not worthwhile and unnecessary risk for them.

However, the upside dealing with indies is that usually you have certain kind of contact with them either via email or phone before you even see them. So there is a window of opportunity for both sides to find out if they click or not. We might as well say this is some sort of screening process for both parties. It certainly helps in some way to reduce the chance of rejection when the rendezvous actually happens.
