I think those potbangers are going to turn public support against them if they fuck up any part of summer tourism in MTL.

I honestly don't give a flying fuck if the Grand Prix DU CANADA is held or not. I once was a huge F1 racing fan, and i've found the races extremely dull for the past decade since Villeneuve was thrown out of F1. I have no use, nor interest for Europe's prestigious racing league. Stay home you snobby frenchmen!

Obviously, you haven't seen any of the races this year

PS- Jacques forced himself out of F1, after his whining turned off all suitors. Montoya was the same...

Just came back from downtown, laughing at the cat and mouse show on the streets between cops in full gear and the naked protesters.

So I've endulged into yet another start of the GP season drinking my Sapporos on a sunny terrace downtown while "bird-watching" !

So until the week-end...Here's to enjoy a little bit about it so far !

Starting backward in time : the incredible MONACO : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjQUKzOgI8c
Spanish : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlWIg_uWVs4
Bahrain : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LhSctju4HQ
China : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPqn7JJ6JHA&feature=fvwrel

I've found the races extremely dull for the past decade since Villeneuve was thrown out of F1.

Remember this ?
"I just finished watching the race. It was an exciting race to watch, but not as exciting at the one held in Mtl two weeks ago....The most exciting racer of all was the Japanese racer (Kobayashi) who made several key passes late in the race & was actually in 3rd place for a good part of the race until he had to make a pit stop."

No fever whatsoever this year. I had a walk on Ste-Catherine this afternoon. The street looked like any other regular Saturday afternoon. Usually, the sidewalks are jammed by pedestrians on Grand Prix weekends, not today.

You're right ! they all went to TO for the woofstock event.

Apparently their dog festival over there is disrupting traffic downtown.
No kidding ! They'll even have a dog race in the streets !

TO's people really cracks me up !
I guess it's the next best thing for Canada's biggest city, when you can't have F1 racing !

F*ckin' hilarious !:lol::lol::lol:

You seem to have a problem with Toronto...

Nah ! it's just a way to get back at my ex mother-in-law, who lives in TO and reads this forum every now and then.
She's waiting for the day that I will write a review on any girl out here... to say to my ex "You see ? I told you. he was just a f*kin' male chauvinist pig"

So all she gets is some bitchin' about her favorite city.

In the mean time...

the race was won by my favorite team.
And to top this one of by Hamilton who won again and again in Mtrl.

So our beloved big mouth Villeneuve will have to STFU again and be laughed at through out the F1 family for having said I quote "The way they’ve been driving, it’s crazy."
"As if we didn't know he was often trying to push it to try and look like his little daddy (God rest his soul).

So... we had a great Grand-Prix, with lots of action, lots of visibility thanks to the student movement and the arrogance of our gov. who tried to scare people away. They just didn't know it was just a rehearsal like the one in Bahrain; for the big one coming up !

And it's f*ckin' warm thanks to this global climate change !
Here in Mtrl it's getting better and better... we hardly have any snow in the winter anymore and we get to see a lot more wet-t-shirts downtown.
Some even march full nude now ! crack-pots !

Apparently there is not enough people in the streets to Protagoras taste :D
I know, I know...but we ain't f*kin' 6 Millions in this city and we're stuck in North America...
So I going back downtown tonight to eat some cheese, drink a little bottle of vino and make some NOISE !

Glad I still have my Vuvuzela since the last world cup and most of all my 120db falcons.
Pots and pans is a bit sissy for me and it doesn't make enough noise !

Cheers !!!

Very boring race today, as expected. Lewis Hamilton won.....again......surprise-surprise. I had my money on either he or Sebastien Vettel winning. These F1 races are so damn predictable it's not even funny. I had more fun watching the protests on Ste-Catherine/Crescent streets last night. More action going on.

These days, if i happen to watch a race, it'll likely be an indycar race, cheering for James Hinchcliff. Not sure i'll be attending the Toronto Indy this year. Always a great party at the Toronto Indy. Lots of hot-looking chicks of mixed heritage. It's a nice change once in a while, away from the usual caucasian french-canadian women. Congrats to Lewis Hamilton & his overrated bimbo, Nicole Scherzinger. Well done! :thumb:

http://www.torontosun.com/2012/06/24/alonso-wins-european-grand-prix

Here's a nice part of the article :
"For the first time since coming out of retirement in 2010, Michael Schumacher from Mercedes made his first podium appearance with a third-place run. Schumacher, the record seven-time F1 champion, took a three-year break from the sport following the '06 season."

Kimi came in second

Left F1 to race later in the Nascar truck series ??

WTF was that about ??

That's really hitting the bottom of the barrel.. A Finnish cowboy

Raced rally cars also for Renault

therefore..the link back to F1

His teammate Grosjean was going to win.....

Long time since a Frenchman has won a race in F1

Eh Pat ?

Please, no qualifying laps...

And here's his latest antic :

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nasca...leneuve-final-lap-road-225819206--nascar.html

Let me explain why I don't like this guy

When British American Tobacco told Honda that they were reducing their sponsorship budget in F1, everyone on the team took pay cuts except this guy...

They then were never going to be able to compete with the elite teams

it took a couple years, but they finally shed his contract
