    NHL Awards Show

The NHL Awards Show gets worse every year. This was the worst ever: D-list "celebrities", freakin' Nickelback, and the lamest "comedy" ever witnessed. Too bad the REAL Brendan Shanahan didn't get up and pound the twit who kept impersonating him in the stupid recurring skit that popped up over and over again. A great sport but an incredibly bad awards show.

Best evah! Shanny impersonator was SPOT ON! Hilarious! I will post the video when it shows up on youtube. Shanny looked pissed tho lol. I would not exactly call Erin Andrews "D list" as well as some others, many others in fact. Cairo, your bias is showing thru again, but you should be happy that max pac won a award, dont worry, be happy man.

I agree with Cairo on Nickleback & every year it's the same old story with the NHL Awards show turned into a cheesy comedy show. Why?????

Erin Andrews looked absolutely fantastic & the legs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the jokes.....many of the jokes were very good, but since the majority in the audience didn't show up to watch a comedy show, it's no wonder that many didn't get the jokes, nor were they ready for them.

I liked the guy impersonating Shanahan, but after the second time around, enough was enough! He wasn't funny anymore.

Best joke of the night goes to Geno Malkin when he went up to pick up the Hart Trophy & made a reference that he would have to read the same speech that he read for the previous award he won.

Nice to see Max Paccioretty win the Masterton....i wish the camera could have zoomed in on Chara, but it didn't....Joffrey Lupul could also have been a deserving winner.

Can't wait for the draft on Friday!!!

My recommendations for upcoming NHL Awards shows:

    1) Get them out of Vegas & move them back to Canada.

    2) Have a 'In Memoriam' segment near the end of the show to show the viewing audience which former NHLers (and personnel) passed away during the current year, like they do at the Oscars & Grammys.

    3) Way too many comedy bits!!! It's not a comedy show & it gets tiring after a while. Make it a one hour show, period.

    4) If you want more people watching the show, move it to the 9pm time slot on a weekend, preferrably Sunday evening.

That twit is IMO the very funny Will Arnett (Arrested Developement, The Office, Up All Night). I only saw one skit where he bans Ovechkin for bad parking. I liked it but didn't watch any more because the rest of the show seemed really cheesy. BTW he's Canadian, his dad was once CEO of Molsons, and he did a semester at Concordia. His biggest fault is he an admitted Leaf fan and therefore knows nothing about hockey.

I'm REALLY hoping that Shanny meets his lameass impersonator in a dark alley some night soon. We'll see if the idiot tries impersonating Brendan again after that!

I'm sure Shanny has a sense of humor.

Hey Ig would you have enjoyed King Lameass just as much if he had picked on Burke instead of Shanny? And we all KNOW that Burke has no sense of humor!
