It's ok since they are not pretending what you're seeing is the girl's picture. Read their disclaimer:

--- SHE LOOK LIKE THIS PICTURE 90% BUT ITS NOT HER ---

Mod 11, with all due respect, I question the policy admitting the use of fake pics even if it is mentioned. It is evident that they do not have the permission to use these pics. Whatever may be said about the pics being in the public domain, I find it ethically wrong to use them for commercial purposes.

Gugu, we have no way to check who have the rights to the picture, nor is it our job to do so. It's the same for any media: we can't be responsible for what other represents as theirs. If the true owner of the pics can come back to Fred with a legal copyright, we'd have to take those pics out but, besides that, our hands are tied.

We insist, when we find a "fake" to have a "look-alike" mention clearly visible, so members are not fooled. That's as far as we can go. Is using pics that aren't theirs unethical? The members can decide and I feel they'll side with you on that one. At that point, it's the member's decision to ignore this and be a customer of the place or not.

I don't want to go to far on this mod 11, but since it is asked that fake pics be identified as such, it is possible to ask that they provide the proof they have permission to use them.

BTW, twice in the last few days, our new preacher koya has insinuated you get paid for your job as a mod, and also has not been banned for insult as was promised by the mods in the nadya thread. Does he have any special status?

Totally disagree...

Mods , site owners or members have no need to have their picture posted as they are not selling their escorting services. An escort is selling her services which include her body. Potential clients will select an SP by her looks and servicesshe offers .. and obviously if well reviewed. A picture of her is imho absolutely necessary.

Now as for fake pics, i think they should be disallowed even if a small print warning saying "She looks like ..." is posted. It is still false publicity as the horny bastards wont read the fine print. But it's Fred's board, Fred's rules.

Hmmm,

Actually #11, we all know what pics are real and which are fake. Fake pics are used by those agencies with low popularity, its common sense.

Hardly. Inexperienced casual lurkers and newbies are often unsure or do not know. As long as the faker doesn't get overzealous and use photos from popular magazine shots or pornstars even experienced hobbyists can be fooled.

It is just plain foolish to require any agency to display actaul real pics of their girls.every agency is different and handle certain things a different way.

Look-a-likes might be acceptable, but it's still a con job. Two very well known ladies at the time were said to be "like" Jenny McCarthy and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The ladies I met were hot, but...lol...not like the stars. With digital, real pics are especially easy to make and use. Dozens of photos can be shot in 15 minutes, then...downloaded and attached. When done right there's little risk of identification, unless there are identity giveaways like tattoos, which agency photographers seem very adept at hiding since clients nearly always seem surprised by the tattoos ladies have.

Client tastes are very subjective for many and often balance on in the slightest detail. Of course others don't care much and would jump a hot do-nut hole to get off. Still, using a look-a-like image may create attractions by key physical attributes that the actual lady does not possess. Result...disappointment of expectations, possible/probable further complications of dissatisfaction.

Still, the individual lady should decide if she wants to be photographed. It's her life. But if she doesn't want to be photographed a description is better than fake look-a-likes.

merb, fred zed, mods should not be putting their nose in things without knowing all the dynamics taking place. Does #11 want his pic displayed on line ?

Two of the mods principle duties are to protect against fraud and guard the integrity of the board. Anything questionable should be dealt with.

Sometimes a real revealing pic can put a girls life in danger or have other damaging ramifications you are not aware of.

You mean more dangerous than say..........walking into the rooms of hundreds of totally unknown strangers. If some psycho wants to do something isn't simple availability the element that cannot be hidden....and who says the owners, drivers, and other ladies, those closest are all stable.

Yes, it's using a prepackaged image for someone unlikely to live up to the expectations.

Cheers,

The rules of the board have been stated. No false photos unless needed for privacy reasons. In that case, they must be labeled as look-a-like . If so, it is OK. If there are any copyright infringements, we will listen and respond to any complaints from the owners. That is the best we can do for our members. This is how it is.

It is not our business to request proof for each and every image posted on MERB. Advertising is under Fred's control, not the moderators'. If you have any concerns in this area, I suggest you take them up with Fred directly.

As for 'koya' and his claims, he has been suspended for 1 month as a result. We have rules regarding respectful posting on MERB and that respect extends to the moderators as well. Making statements or claims that go against what has been stated clearly here on MERB many times in the past regarding the fact that moderators are not compensated in any way by anyone, breaks numerous rules of posting and will no longer be tolerated.

Thanks mod8, I guess I would not have bothered if they had not put their name and tel no over the pics, a thing meaning by convention "the pics belong to us", which is obviously not the case. I just hope this thread bumps up once in a while.

It was a pretty good come back indeed for which you obviously came with no answer. I guess you took quite a while to go through 545 posts to find a review. I also guess you re a bit lunatic.

I am quite happy to be on your ignore list. You are certainly not on mine. And believe me, I will not miss an occasion.
