My recent experience of having my back menstruated on has again raised the issue of ladies working through their period. It's an issue that has been discussed previously on this Board, although I do not believe a special thread was ever devoted to the topic (if I am mistaken on this, I am sure the Mod will merge threads if appropriate).
I realize as a practical matter that a lot of SPs work through their period and hide it from agency owners, especially on a busy holiday weekend. But it is a bad idea because the SP could end up with a potential really bad review, one that could crush both her and her agency. For this reason I really believe that the Montreal agency owners should consider adopting a policy of mandating that their ladies report the commencement of their period.
There is an escort agency in Miami, Florida that I have done business with that has such a policy. If I am in town on vacation and I ask for a lady who happens to be having her period, they will tell me that and specify the dates on which she is unavailable. This is an agency that has been in business for 15 years, which is a very long time for an American escort agency. They are pricing their ladies a lot higher than in the Montreal market, of course, and have a lot more at stake if a lady were to menstruate on a client's back.
If the agency owner implements such a policy, then he/she is protected and can claim that the SP violated agency policy by working while on her period. Of course, it is not realistic to expect that the policy will always be obeyed, but if you make it clear that it is grounds for being fired, there will be significant compliance with the policy.
To my knowledge, however, no Montreal agency has any "official" policy in this regard and I would be curious as to the thoughts of members on why that is the case.
