Parking App for iPhone and Androïd

This App let you manage the time left on the new parking meters in MTL. Once regustered you just type the parking place
(ex M448) and you can see how much time you got left, SMS and e-mail warnings and add money to extend your time directly from the App.

Go to App Store or Android Market search for ''stationnement'' Name of App: P$Service Mobile from Transcontinental.
Its a free app and you get billed $0.40 per transaction.

Its still a pain to pay but its its easier and cheaper than getting a $50 parking ticket

Let me get this absolutely right. This app will also tell you how much time the person before you left on the meter, no? If that's true, then you'll probably save money in the long run.

Update: 1. As far as Apple is concerned, you have to log into the Canadian iTunes store. Searching the US one reveals nothing.

2. It doesn't appear that it will give you the time remaining on someone else's dime.

3. It does everything else as stated above. The big thing is that you can add time remotely.

Thank you for the precision's for our US folks Rumples,

When you pay the initial time with this APP you will know how much time you have left. You cannot see how much time the parking place has left from the earlier customer.

Parking App for iPhone and Androïd

A couple of weeks ago i was at a few clubs/restos with friends & one of them had that app on his phone (Android). It was pretty cool considering he didn't have to leave us just to put money into the meter.

And yes, the parking meter attendants were in full circulation today, even though it was a national holiday. On Sundays, parking is free until 1pm (downtown area).

Funny thing is I was parked on a street that had meters on one side of the street and the other side was marked "No Parking 7h-18h Mon-Fri," while the meters were in effect, those spots on the street with the 7h-18h marking had cars parked there all morning! Lol. I could have just left my car there last night. I did however move my vehicle into the Stanley Autoparc and paid a whopping $6.00 for 12 hours of parking from 1145p-11a today. Not a bad deal at all!

Oh and thank you for the info on the app Jff!!

What do you expect? The city & the province are bankrupt.

And things will likely get worse after Tuesday night's election results.

Special K, you will often see three or more contradictory signs which appear to apply to the same parking spots. The idea is to lure you into parking with one sign and justify giving you a ticket with another.
Doc Holliday, you might want to look up "cupidity".

Call it paranoia, but I believe that the city of Montreal assigns its most industrious workers to giving parking tickets and its least competent to fixing potholes.

You might call it paranoia, I call it being observant.

To the original question, I read in the newspaper they are in effect on holidays but they are not as well enforced because the people who enforce them are not working and the responsibility goes to the police.

Around Montréal...
Is the app to pay the parking affective?

That's a really good new for me :thumb:

I could pay a parking during an encounter then? Is this easy and fast?
( I can't imagine stopping an encounter for that... :) ...)

What I detest the most, is when the time is restricted, ei: like 2 hours maximum...

PS: To answer your question: I think the parking meter is refusing money when it is not required.
