    Question What does it take to run a succesful agency?

    As I lay awake pondering about the great mysteries of the universe, a question persists in my mind; "What does it take to run a successful agency?"....... Errr Actually, I'm having problems sleeping thus this pseudo intellectual discussion about our favorite hobby.

    Anyhow, it has been quite a while since LFMJ was shut down by LE and given LFMJ's size, its demise surely presents a great opportunity for another agency to step in and offer LFMJ style service. So far, there hasn't been news about the emergence of such an agency, could it be that Jacques was indeed someone special, the Montreal hobby scene's Michelangelo (okay, now I'm really pushing it ) and that we'll never see another agency that comes close to LFMJ? One also wonders about the secret of Asservissante's success, where does Martin find girls like Emmanuelle, Marie-Eve, Sabrina, Clara, Valerie? Also, why aren't there more agencies like LFMJ and Asservissante? Then, there are the agencies that appear to be on the decline like Fantasme and AllissaMontreal. Granted, these two are in different segments of the market but one still wonders what causing these agency owners to lose their touch?

    A multifaceted question...

    DonBusch,

    The short answer to this question for me is that a good agency delivers what I expect, when I expect it, at a fair price.

    The “how one makes” a good agency is a bit more complex and depends on the type of agency involved. This question can be answered from the perspective of either side of the isle, i.e. from the client or escort perspective. My take on this is that goodness to an escort manifests as goodness to the client. Cordial, well-adjusted escorts promote a good positive image for the agency and ultimately result in a great experience for the client.


    To run a good agency the owner has a precarious balancing act. Owners must strike that balance between placating the needs of an escort to those of the client to run a good operation. Excellence in operational details of the agency in terms of scheduling, reception and on time delivery are a given, and need not be covered here in my opinion.

    For an owner: the No. 1 thing: effective sources of recruitment of escorts that will deliver the service and presentation that you advertise. Priority must be given to recruitment and retention of these types of escorts. As an agency owner, the escorts you represent are the most important yardsticks by which your agency is measured. Anecdotal evidence suggests that you are able to occasionally “abuse” a customer with minimal impact on your overall business; given a reputation for delivery of good escorts. Of course in practice, it should never be the intention to “diss” a customer, but rest assured without the product, there is no customer, so it becomes moot as to what is really more important in this business. The most important reason clients patronize an agency is the “quality” of escort they expect to encounter. Whereas client loyalty and integrity are nice in practice, evidence suggests that little of either exists in the real world. Clients for the most part have affinity for the escort, regardless to the agency. They further have little integrity, often opting to see the lady outside of the agency, and it may be assumed that they will attempt to do so regardless to whether they appear to have integrity. Be it beneath the average client to consider the fact that attempting to make such arrangements is a reflection on his integrity. Hence, realize the type of people with whom you are likely to have as customers. Your job as an agency owner would be to work with the escort to minimize the possibilities of customers undermining your profitability by cutting side deals with the ladies. Likewise, you’d like to identify the motives of the ladies in your employ and avoid the ones most likely to steal clients. The degree to which an owner should worry about these things, depends an awful lot on the type of agency they intend to run. High volume, budget or market agencies may choose to pay little attention to these types of things and expect high turnover as an ongoing part of their operation. These volume agencies tend to attract escorts who are unreliable and cannot be trusted. On the other hand, if I am looking to differentiate myself from the competition in this type of operation, I may choose to place more emphasis on initial screening, not only ascertaining the attitudes of the ladies towards providing good service, but attempt to recruit ladies who are interested in working at an agency as opposed to looking to build a client base. To the extent I have motivated escorts who want to work within an agency, I put in place such incentives for the ladies like more equitable splits and rewards consisting of better splits for multi-hour and repeat clientele. These types of incentive focus on performance. The motive of most customers looking to make private deals is that they are looking to save money. An aggressive cut structure helps reduce the incentive of the lady to work with that customer.

    There are many examples of “good” agencies that deliver hot girls, whose transgressions are overlooked due to the caliber of the girls. Such agencies, for instance, may deliver budget priced escorts who are known to provide premium services, or the compromise of moderately attractive ladies who deliver good service. This works well, because most clients are more concerned with escort performance than any other single factor. Proper recruiting, screening and “training” of escorts are essential for any agency. If I own a high-end agency, I would put a premium on recruiting attractive well-adjusted ladies who have other goals in life. I would not want to represent the “professional escort”. These are the ones most likely to hustle for customers. Contrary to what I’m not supposed to do by law, I’d make certain that these ladies understood both the expectations and their individual rights involved with the selling of their services. I’d encourage them to seek outside legal advice on these matters. I’d make sure I had some understanding as to what their particular limits are with regards to services as well as customer type and ethnicity. I’d make it clear to them that what they offer and whether they choose to take a booking is clearly their own choice. If I did not consider their limits appropriate for the agency, I wouldn’t make the hire. Understanding these types of things is exactly what allows an agency to provide a good match for the client. Likewise, the more I know and an escort knows about the client, the better chance she will have to provide an excellent outcome. Notice I say excellent, because I believe that a competent escort can produce an acceptable outcome under most circumstances. I’d also strive to make sure that the clients I do have, are properly screened to provide the right environment and reception for the ladies. These expectations and recruitment procedures are far less rigorous for the typical high volume market priced or budget priced agency. But, I’d maintain that owners could differentiate themselves considerably by being more selective and progressive in that space. The tradeoff may be volume and profit versus client satisfaction. The dilemma of course is that more particular you are about who you hire, the fewer qualified applicants there are available. As we all know it is rare to find a combination of a “hot escort” who is responsible and reliable.

    As a potential owner, I would not be overly concerned about the presence of organized crime. In the internet, English market segment, their influence is almost nil. Most of the agencies or indys discussed in this forum that have substantial web presence operate unfettered by organized crime. To the extent a lady is having these problems, they exist due to previous association with an agency or pimp who was controlled by these entities. Perhaps LFMJs untimely demise was due in part to him missing a payment, who knows. What I do know is that organized crime in Canada at least has never shown an interest to embed themselves in high end operations. To them, prostitution is a cash cow. And that cow is best milked in low end market and below market type operations. For instance, in Toronto, agencies that specialize in Eastern Europeans/Russians are well known to be controlled by the Russian Mafia. They price ladies just below mid market average, at 200 bucks for an outcall. These ladies are above average in looks, and high mileage on the service side. They literally work 24/7. This is churning for the cash, something you can’t do with a premium high end service.

    Actually, I inadvertently left out Guillemina and Augustina-girl 29, gotta add them to my must-do list, LOL. Can't really blame the WSG people for keeping the internet escort info to themselves, I believe there was a mini-stampede the last time GF reviewed Sandy who has since retired.

    I'm just hoping none of them are going to charge me 600peso/hr, think a poster reported got that offer from Nicole

    I would say that for the typical 90 minute period that you should be able to get away with 150-200 pesos. Notice on the Spanish site they don't list prices. On the gringo site they have 100-150 USD as a typical 90 minute rate. Have Roxanna (avoid Adriana because of the conflict of interest, she is bound to get you her listed rates on the escortargentina site) call the Spanish speaking girls and negotiate the Portena rate. When I first met many of these ladies it was before the switch from the USD standard and the float of the peso. I paid them all in USD as there was no advnatage to conversion since they were on a one to one dollar for peso exchange. Their listed 90 minute rates were 200USD and up. That is the equiavalent of about 600 pesos. Their overnight rates at the time easily reached into the 70-900 US dollar range. This is still quite a bargain for those of us stateside. Considering exchange rates at the time, the ladies in Argentina were charging just as much as their Canadian counterparts in Toronto do for an hourly session. Their hourly rate works out to about 225 to 230 Cdn.
