Anyone check out the Sex Show this weekend?

Went to the Sex Show for the first time and noticed alot of couples attending.

Wanted to see Tera Patrick but she was not around when I went by. Only local quebec talent Kream was there, nothing to write home about. The dungeon area was pretty cool. The Nuru booth was cool too only because they had hot girls in bikinis.

Overall more for couples than single old men like me.

I was there, saw Tera Patrick, was not impressed with her demeanor as she sounded like a arrogant, dipstick, the Lane Sisters, Charmane Star and a few other Porn Stars were there along with Porn Producer Vid Vicious, lots of shows and booths that sold some really interesting sex related stuff, the atmosphere was great as I got my picture taken with lots of babes, some of them in skimpy outfits, all in all it was a fun night.

Special thanks to my personal cameraman(Pat98) for taking the pictures of me with the babes.

Here is a sample of the show.

The Sex Show in Montreal and Quebec City is called, in French, "Le Salon de l'Amour et de la Séduction" which literally translates to The Love and Seduction show, undoubtedly in recognition of Quebec cultural differences and the more liberal attitudes toward sex prevalent in Quebec, compared to that in English Canada. These attitudes, as reflected in the title of the show in Quebec, are a good indication of why one would expect to see more couples than singles at the show here.

To validate this it would be interesting to hear the comments from someone who has been to the shows both in Montreal and in Toronto, regarding the difference, if any, in the show content, and the makeup of the audience.

In fact, Le Salon de l'Amour et de la Séduction used to take place on the weekend just before Valentines' Day, but was moved to the third weekend of January when it changed venues, probably to accommodate the show calender at Place Bonaventure.

Le Salon de l'Amour et de la Séduction has always been held on the third weekend in January, since moving to Place Bonaventure in 2010, since Place Bonaventure has a fixed calender for annual shows. If you are planning ahead, next year's show will be held on the weekend of Jan.17-19, 2014. The best time to go is probably Saturday night.

I don't remember the Sex Show being at the same time as the Auto Show....don't really know how the Franchise Show did as it was scheduled at the same time as the Sex Show....

I attended on Saturday night. It was the first time I have ever been to the show so I was somewhat impressed. I got to meet, the Lane Sisters, Amy Lee, Tera Patrick and Roxi Dlite. I enjoyed her burlesque show, but I have nothing to compare it to. I also liked the art exhibit section, the paintings and the sculptures were cool, especially the live model sculpture.

The Sex Show, the Auto Show and the Franchise Show do indeed always overlap each year. The Auto Show spans 2 weekends, starting the second or third week of January, depending on the calendar. The Franchise Show draws from a different clientele than the Sex Show and is probably more busy during the day rather than the evening.

Maybe the marketing approach is not the same for the english and french market if you call it the Sex show,in french it is Le Salon de l'Amour and it is nothing to get excited about, I've been there once a few years ago and unless it changed it's formula it is nothing but a big sex-shop trying to sell porn and cheap sex toys...I insist on cheap, the whole set up had no class whatsoever... The Car show has more sex appeal ...

There have been some changes to the show over the past few years, while other aspects of the show have remained the same.

It is true that in the past there was a large selection of porn available at the show. Sex shop Sexe Cité used to have a huge area selling porn videos, sex toys and sexy clothing. There were also another half dozen outlets selling porn videos. All of these, including Sexe Cité disappeared from the show a few years ago. Now the only porn videos available for sale is directly from the porn stars appearing at the show. As well, in the past, Québec Erotique magazine and Le Garage strip bar, which have the same owner, were at the show with plenty of their models autographing copies of the magazine. They are also no longer at the show, although the softer and tamer Summum Magazine and Wanda's strip bar were there this year. Nuru Massage was there the last couple of years. Last year some of their masseuses were giving nuru massage demonstrations wearing bikinis. There was less action at their booth this year. Also, in recent years Burlesque shows and BDSM demonstrations have been added to the show.

It is also true that there is a large selection of sex toys available at the show. In fact, this is one thing that has remained constant over the years. A very large number of the booths are devoted exclusively to selling sex toys. Presumably, this is to attract more women to the show.
