    Graphic reviews

Reading another thread, it was brought to my attn that some ladies dont like graphic reviews...I find a review without any details quite boring to read and are still left wondering if she did this or did that..or how she did this or how she did that...

A little bit of spice adds to the enjoyment of reading such reviews..it would be compared to reading a chapter from an erotic novel....drooling over your keyboard while you are reading it and just cant wait to send an email to that Sp getting reviewed....

My intention is to NOT insult these beautiful ladies...but to compliment their services and to tell it like it is.....

I asked one beautiful lady the other day if she found my review of her to graphic...she replied to the contrary that she thought it was very well done and to the point... and just reading it got her Hot... (thks Samy)

This is the Sex Industry after all...

    Just my opinion.....

    What makes a great review

    That's an interesting subject Lee.

I agree that a great review should be entertaining as well as informative. Everybody has his own style but there's nothing like a great story line and a graphic description of the hot segments of an encounter to spark my interest.

However, there's a fine line not to cross graphically. There's nothing wrong about writing an erotic novel, as long as it's done with class and respect. Sometimes, personal and intimate details are better to be left out as they could be viewed as offensive.

You're not doing a bad job in your reviews. Continue the good work, we appreciate.

I think you just hit the nail right on I can't speak for other ladies, but for me a good review is about what respect it also depicts. There are many nicer ways to say "I farked the hoe so strong her head was banging the bedpost, as she was enjoying the pounding and screaming like a sl**." loll

I've been very lucky to have people that could write good reviews about me, very detailed, but that could also convey the context and the feeling of the moment, while still being able to avoid personal details that are shared between us.

Most reviews usually sound like a short spreadsheet resume with cold details or missing the elements that will make you connect to it as a reader. (hey sp's love to read that stuff too! )

    Sophias reviews

    Sophia.

I am glad you responded to this thread..

I really enjoyed reading your reviews immensely..Some of them were quite graphic but were done with class...

One of my favorite reviews about you was by a former poster that I havent seen on here in a long while.....Ripely007..(where are you Ripely????)

When I first read his review of you I was drooling all over my keyboard and couldnt wait to meet you.. It was as though you were reading a porn script...it conveyed the encounter to the fullest but done with a lot of Class and respect.....

This is exactly what I like to convey when I write reviews..

Hopefully I will eventually meet you one day..and give you a splendid review...

Personally I love my reviews. They make good masturbation material when I go through a dry spell.

A well written review is so much better than a dry spreadsheet type or worse, "she is _____(fill in adjective) you got to see her" with no other details.

If I had to chose between no review, a poorly written review, or an overly graphic one, I would take the overly graphic one. Of course a poorly written one is better than none at all. Not everybody is a good writer. Cannot speak for everyone but that is me.

    Thumbs down

I think a graphic narrative that is worded tastefully helps convey the flavor of the session that can't be expressed in a spreadsheet format. Most escorts take detailed reviews in their stride, and I love those who eagerly welcome them. Over the years, I have had only a couple of escorts ban me from future engagements because of my reviews.

    Robin,

Although I have not yet been "banned" from future engagements because of a review I have written, I agree with your sentiments. Problem is some guys simply don't have the skills to write in a tactful or tasteful manner because they are horrible writers to begin with, and when they inject the details they end up sounding crude, boorish and ungentlemanly. I would not say that is the case with you, however, and I am curious as to the reasons for your "banishment." I don't recall any of your reviews being objectively offensive, so I am wondering what the subjectively offensive component was? .

There was nothing offensive, the escorts just didn't want their services and restrictions to be made public. That's not a practical stance today with the spreadsheet and hyperactive review boards. Another escort said she felt uncomfortable when she first read my review of her but soon found that it actually helped her. New clients who had read the review had realistic expectations for the session and even had the right type of wine!

    Itemized Reviews

Mostly I have found ladies like reading about themselves. The major exception are SPs who are YMMV on certain services. If someone claims on a board to have received a particular service which in fact is only sometime delivered it may create unwelcome pressure for her to do that in situations where she might not want to. I think I recall Good Samaritan discussing this many years ago.

    Cool

Sometimes I think these escorts just like me because I have super high speed internet and vibrating office chair in front of my computer. I have to pry them from the computer, where they are searching for their monikers on mer(x).ca. Hilarious...they really get upset when they read a bad review of them...it's not because of any prospective financial loss, but a sincere feeling of not doing the job properly....it's crazy....Eleganza girls in particular, but Joe seems to be cooking these days, and he has the girls trained well...so they should be aware of all reviews...but I could not read online objective feedback of myself as intently as some of these girls...I guess it is part of the shattered psychology that roughly half of all escorts seem to possess. Anyway, this post has gotten too serious for myself...

    SPs reading reviews

Touch brings up the issue of SPs reading their reviews. There is one SP I know who has been around for a while and she gets wildly bent out of shape over the most inocuous comments. She has an amazing memory for what has been written about her, and what upsets her is not the graphic stuff, but rather the details on which there are subjective YMMV perception differences. As she recited some comments she had read on this Board (which were made by highly respected reviewers, I might add), I saw her eyebrows furrow and fury in her eyes. It amazed me that she could be so upset over the subjective details as opposed to the so-called graphic details or, as Touch said, the YMMV service issues. But the SPs do read this Board, they do have feelings, and they have shared with me their feelings about some of y'all. And the guys who wrote the stuff that upset her would have been amazed and startled by her reaction to their comments.

By the ways, I did not have this conversation with this SP during the course of a date with her.

You do ``touch`` a very good point there. I was recently soaking in a hot tub in company of such a SP (now retired). She knew I was posting on MERB and she didn`t mind reviews. Just before starting the delivery a wonderful , she said to me : ``please, don`t mention this on the Board. I don`t do this with everyone. I don`t want everybody starting to request and expect that from me.`` I didn`t of course.

Yes, SPs don't always like it and some like being reviewed as favourable ones give them more biz. Censorship is difficult to enforce. There is freedom of speach. We all take our chances. Johns and SPs can;t cry too much about it. It's the occupational hazards of the industry.

    respect #1

Let me drop a couple cents (I've not posted anything in the last few weeks, but I've still been reading)...

Details in reviews are fine so long as there is a respect in writing them. I remember the Canbest days, and the kind of stuff that used to be written back then. A very close friend of mine burned out because of those reviews. She became so popular, people wrote so many details of what she did, expected those details when they came to see her, regardless of their hygene or overall respect toward women, so much so that a few months after it all started (her being reviewed) she quit the business. She would later publish a book. (En passant: some people in the past, on this board, one in particular comes to mind, have talked about my relationship with this girl. To you-know-who-you-are: how ludicrous of you to think you were so bright as to know anything about our friendship, ever.)

Things on Merb are a heck of alot better that they were on Canbest, that's the only reason I joined this board to begin with. How is it that the people who reviewed me left out the more intimate aspects of our date if not because they respected me enough to not write me off as one-size-fits-all commodity. Many of the people who wrote about my friend could have cared less.

On Merb, for the most part, the reviews are great. The fact that there are also SPs on this board (unlike during canbest days when we could not respond in the out-call/in-call sections) makes the relationship between SP and client alot better than it was when I first started out. The clients I met this last time around, I swear, were ALL at least nice if not great individuals.

The major thing that differentiates the Journal de Montreal ads from the rest, is that most of those agencies have no websites, most of them do not participate on boards like this, most of them already have all of the clientele they need. I truly believe today that if a girl must join an agency (to me, agency=screwing normal social dynamics, some of you know how I came to this conclusion) she should go for a place with a website, those agencies which are most likely to have review threads in places like this. The clients that come from these boards are generally much better than the JDM types. Relying on a large volume of internet customers weeds out the really bad clients with no hygene or respect, which usually stick to the lower end places with zero accountability. Our number one concern in this business should be how can it be better for both sides.

So all and all, Canbest forums are worse, Merb forums are best. Things started changing for SPs when SPs starting talking on these boards.

Details? The reviews that were written about me were great. I think we (SPs) should have a say as too how much details should make their way in them. I was happy to see someone mentionning how he'd respected such an SP's wishes. That's the way to go. We're not meat.

I remember Lyla's List as well. That place was a ball. Nothing that came after Lyla's List ever came close to the level of open dialogue between client and SP it had. I used to post there often

Just be nice boys, you already know that

Keep asking questions like this. Makes the escorting world a better place.
