If you saw the news, i think you probably saw this already. The church of Windsor, Qc(my hometown) was burned last night. Its a total loss. It was a nice church, not that big, but beautifull built in the 1890s. It had one of the classic "orgue" (don't know the word in english) and well it was also there that the "partage" was, where you could go and buy furniture for a very cheap price(desk for 15$ for exemple and such)
I ain't a religious person, but i feel sad because of the "patrimoine" that was this church, and what it represented. It was also our last church in windsor itself, since they closed st-gabriel, st-claude(that had to demolish it if i remember corectly, it was dangerous) and greenlay.
Also the "old people" , sorry to say it like this, i don't know how you say "persones agées" in a more polite way in english , where a lot going there and they are usually very religious.
From what i heard it was somebody who broke inside, burned papers and the fire spread. Not sure if burning the whole thing was what he meant to do, or it just got out of control, but in any case what he did was a very stupid thing and caused trouble to the whole town.
Now all that left is the frame, the bricks, and it sucks...
