Anybody going despite the insane prices?
How many sessions with young nymphos are 4 old guys (+one fat) worth?
(the fat one is Mick Taylor, back for a couple of songs)

Still hesitant...

Look behind you.
I will not pay the prices they are asking. Should have been called The one last gouge tour.

The Rolling Stones were in Toronto Thursday evening & since i'd never yet seen them in concert, i figured it might be a good idea to watch them live, even though i'm not a die-hard Stones fan & i was told by many who've seen them over the past decade that their live show now sucks. But when i saw the ridiculous ticket prices ($600+), i at first thought it was a typo by Ticketmaster or someone's bad joke. When i learned that it wasn't, i laughed out loud & figured no one would bother spending that kind of dough on a couple of geriatrics who aren't far off from being committed to a nursing home. To my surprise, i heard on Toronto television that the concert was supposedly sold-out.

They were here in Toronto a month ago & Carrie Underwood performed on the first half of the show. Now, maybe that could have revitalized interest, but not for $600!!!! I don't think i'd even pay that kind money to attend a Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd reunion concert.

I am going but up in the bleachers among the pigeons. I've been kikking myself for the past 20 years for missing their last Mtl concert at the Big O in the early '90s.
I'd pay 600$ + only if all 4 Beatles reunite. Lol
Captain out

Where I belong.
I saw the Stones at the Bell Center about 10 years back. A good, well oiled show, but totally lacking in intensity. Nothing compared to seeing them several times between 1965-1970. And nothing compared to seeing The Boss today.

For a Pink Floyd reunion, though now impossible since Richard Wright died in 2008, i would consider the thing.

One would think that the scalpers will be getting considerably less than face value on the street.
On craigslist or kijiji too. I got mine on the floor at under 1/3 of face value, and I don't regret going. The people around who had paid full price were rather pissed off, understandably.
Portions were disappointing, specially in the guitar dept, but others were great (KR solo songs and after)
Now if Mick T. would play the jazz fest...

PS: saw a Maria (of Byanka & Maria duo fame) clone at the show, and lots of hot chicks!

Not a Stones fan at all, so forgive me if it's obvious but who is the giant in white singing with Mick? Is he a member of the band? He looks younger than all those other dudes. Love the comments under the video esp the "$650 for this???"

Get me David Gilmour, Roger Waters & Nick Mason on stage together & i'll gladly shell out $600 to see them live.

On another note, i'll likely be attending one of the two Eagles concerts this coming July when they visit Canada. I'll probably attend the one in Toronto. That'll be the 4th time i see them in concert over the years. I'm surprised they won't be going to Montreal this summer, considering they'll be visiting Toronto and Ottawa. Would have loved to see them in Montreal once again. It'll be the "History of the Eagles" tour. Rumour has it that former band mates such as Randy Meisner & Bernie Leadon might join them for some shows on the tour. No word if Don Felder was invited to join, but i'd be very surprised if they did since they already fired him a few years ago, replacing him on the guitar with Stu Smith.

You're likely referring to Win Butler of popular local group "Arcade Fire". I saw them once in concert when they opened for Van Halen. Not a huge fan of them, but they have a great number of followers worldwide.

I would like to see them as I have not done so yet and love all types of music. I wonder if they are playing outside in downtown mtl again this summer?

The concert i cannot wait for is at Heavy Mtl in august, and the Grammy Award Winning, Halestorm! Doc, did you grow up very far from the Hale family in Philly?

I first saw Win Butler when he joined the Boss for a few numbers in Ottawa about 8 years ago. Seems that Arcade Fire is well respected among the legends. Finally got to see the whole band when they put on that free show at the Place des Spectacles last September, me and about 110,000 others, all of whom seemed to be smoking something funny.

This is one of the coolest things on the internet: http://thewildernessdowntown.com

Well now I can say that I have seen the Stones live, at least once. Been there, done that!
Great show all in all. One regret though, they left out Angie, a song that defines my best University years.
Captain out!
